WASHINGTON — A bipartisan group of senators is backing a bill that makes permanent a more relaxed set of U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition guidelines for students’ breakfasts and lunches in the nation’s schools. New federal guidelines that, among others things, limited calories in school lunches rankled parents and school administrators across the nation.
