MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Civil rights leaders Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton hosted a prayer Monday afternoon outside the Hennepin County Government Center. A protest, organized by more than a dozen Twin Cities groups, is scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday after the conclusion of closing arguments in the trial of Derek Chauvin.

Thursday, Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will visit Minnesota. The civil rights leaders announced their visits in the midst of response to the death of George Floyd. Rev. The man who was shot to death in north Minneapolis on Friday has been identified. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 23-year-old DeShaun Guilmant of St. Cloud.
