The “Shark Tank” star alleged that the other boat, a larger, 13-person vessel, had no lights on at the time and that it fled the scene following the collision Saturday night on Lake Joseph in Ontario. But police had a different account. “Both vessels had left the scene and when they reached the location, both vessels were in touch with ambulance for emergency services,” said Joe Scali, spokesman for the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police, according to Global News....

Perturbed by their failure to truncate the Trump campaign, National Review is now doubling down in a coming issue with a truly toxic article (behind a pay wall) by roving editor, Kevin D. Williamson. Williamson apparently thinks blue-collar workers whose lives get turned upside down when their jobs disappear due to economic downturns or their manufacturing jobs getting shipped offshore or their mines closing due to new more restrictive government regulation, are all a bunch of worthless bums and crybabies who should just load up the pickup and become the new Okies. I'd give up Mexican food for a year...

Some politicos are born servile, others have servility thrust upon them. The Pantone Color Institute, which normally finds itself in the news exactly once a year, when it proclaims the “color of the year” — 2015’s is marsala — last week heralded the christening of a new color: “Minion Yellow,” named for the rascally henchmen who assist Gru in the “Despicable Me” films. Apparently, the proprietary-color world is trolling the political world. This is the Age of Minions. Practically all colors have symbolic associations, and yellow’s baggage is ugly and complicated: The yellow-bellied are cowards; yellow journalism is dishonest and irresponsible;...

According to Kevin Spacey, his friend Bill Clinton says 99 percent of what’s seen on “House of Cards” is true. As the star of Netflix’s political thriller, Spacey plays the corrupt and conniving President Frank Underwood. Spacey, who counts former President Clinton among his pals, tells Gotham magazine, while doing his best Clinton impression, “Kevin, 99 percent of what you do on that show is real.” Continuing with his impersonation of the 42nd president, Spacey says, as Clinton, that there’s one aspect of the show that’s pure fiction. “The 1 percent you get wrong is you could never get an...

Kevin Sorbo is sick of what he calls Hollywood's intolerance to those who believe in God. "There's a negativity towards Christians in Hollywood," Sorbo told FOX411. "And a negativity towards people who believe in God." It's not just faith that Hollywood is intolerant of. Sorbo, who has spoken out against President Obama's policies, feels the backlash from the entertainment industry for his political affiliations. "There's also a negativity towards people who aren't liberal. There's no question that it has hurt me in Hollywood that I didn't vote for Obama."

Kevin Drum, who I recently learned lives not far from me, has some thoughts on yesterday’s Obamacare decision and the enumerated powers of the Constitution: The state of Massachusetts can basically do anything it wants as long as it’s arguably rational and not specifically prohibited or reserved to the federal government. And this works out fine, which is why it’s so odd to hear opponents of a federal individual mandate chatter so furiously about slippery slopes and tyranny. After all, the argument goes, if the commerce clause of the constitution is interpreted to mean the federal government can force you...

A mushrooming political battle over ObamaCare involving the White House, two incumbent Pennsylvania congressmen, three Catholic hospitals and a nun has just exploded in, of all places, Scranton, Pennsylvania. Charges from the Scranton medical community of intimidation by the Obama White House and its allies are filling the air. All of this just as Vice President Joe Biden arrives in Scranton today to raise money for one of the participants.
