I recently attended a Kings College course called ‘Issues in Countering Terrorism’. Organised by the Centre for Defence Studies, it was designed for civil servants and professionals in Counter Terrorism. Staff from the Foreign Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence and Home Office attended. Facilitating this relatively new 3 day course were senior lecturers from the Security Studies Department. The King’s College in New York City is no longer offering courses in the upcoming fall semester, is laying off its entire faculty and is closing its current chapter according to the board of trustees, staff interviews and updates from the school’s accreditor. Last month I wrote about a Chinese study of the coronavirus which found antibodies to the virus only last a few months in the body. That seemed to indicated that people who’d survived the virus would not have a long term immunity to it. A team of scientists at the university studied wastewater that's entering into the river from nearby sewers during storms and found traces of the drug within 24 hours of the overflow, the Independent reports. Compared to other major cities, the level of cocaine entering London's water system — likely through users' urine — is much higher. WILKES-BARRE – A King’s College student was arrested and faces several charges after allegedly urinating on a religious Christmas display early Sunday morning. Nathan Strawn, 22, was arrested after “he was observed fully exposed urinating on the Nativity scene located on Public Square,” city police said in a press release.
