For the first time in 40 years, Divine services will soon be held in the world-famous Church of the Transfiguration on Kizhi Island in the northern Russian Republic of Karelia. The church will reopen after restoration in July, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernishenko stated on Monday at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, reports TASS.
