Historically, taking a knee has always been an act of submission. One took a knee when the King entered the room. One took a knee when being knighted. One took a knee during parts of a religious ceremony. I am delighted that such people as Sheila Jackson Lee and the various players of the NFL are taking knees. Hi everybody! I'm new to Free Republic and I really love the site!! Its so refreshing to find like minded people on the internet. I am from rural Oregon. Anyway, I just want to say " I love Bush!" He is incredible. I can't wait to get my next tax cut in the mail...
