Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) has bested his primary challenger, beating back an onslaught of attacks from establishment Republicans. The Associated Press has called the race for the iconoclastic Jones, who was leading Bush administration official Taylor Griffin (R) by 53 percent to 44 percent with 71 percent of precincts reporting. The win all but guarantees him an 11th term in the House in the heavily Republican district.

"I need money". Greedy illegal alien Roy Ortiz is suing those who saved his life.- by Brian Hayes | Top Right NewsLast month we profiled an illegal alien felon who made nearly $200,000 by mass-filing frivolous lawsuits against L.A. restaurants. But that was just a creep trying to game the system, and the system (shamefully) letting him. This is truly disgusting. An illegal alien in Colorado is suing several first responders who took part in rescuing him last September, when he became trapped in his car during a flash flood. You heard that right. They saved Roy Ortiz' life --...

by John Urban | Top Right NewsIt was a remarkable -- and disturbing -- catch. Not fruit-pickers. Not landscapers. Not roofers or housekeepers. Not "hard-working immigrants" performing "an entrepreneurial act" by crossing the border, as elitist tool George Will described illegal aliens to Laura Ingraham this past Sunday. Not quite. In just three days last month, Border Patrol agents in the Tucson sector recently re-arrested more than a dozen convicted felons, including two MS-13 gang members, most of whom were not supposed to be in the United States, officials said. A majority of the felons were sex offenders convicted of...

The president and his queen are the epitome of corruption and greed. They talk about “caring for the poor” while spending piles of other people’s money on their celebrity parties.Disgusting. If anyone still clings to some charitable notion that there is more to Michelle Obama than a celebrity wanna-be opportunist, let her 50thbirthday celebration be the proof that does away with any remaining delusions. The FLOTUS’ birthday bash invitees included such moneyed stars as Gladys Knight, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jordan, Stevie Wonder, Samuel L. Jackson, Ashley Judd, and, of course, power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z (the latter...

This morning Laura Ingraham mentioned that a friend of hers, who works in the financial sector, predicts that a certain sector of the economy will shed 10's of thousands of jobs later this year. I had to turn off the radio and didn't catch the rest of the comment. Did Laura mention or hint at which sector her friend was talking about?

Laura Ingraham’s baptismal cross went missing from her checked luggage at the Newark airport this weekend, and the syndicated radio host says either a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) worker or a Continental Airlines employee is responsible. Ingraham had just finished several radio and television appearance in New York City and was in a rush to the airport. She told The Daily Caller she normally carries her luggage on planes, but since she was pressed for time and was carrying copies of her new book, she checked a suitcase before her Friday evening flight from Newark to Denver.

In their mission to erase all vestiges of masculinity once and for all, the fashion mavens have done away with the backpack, the briefcase, and the gym bag. The only accessory acceptable to the chic man about town is the murse. This purse-like man-pouch is all the rage in most metropolitan areas. At first, they weren’t as objectionable because they were modeled on satchels you’d expect to see on a World War I infantryman. But over the last few years, they have gotten more and more . . . well, feminine. The leather, canvas, and Naugahyde man-bags are now indistinguishable...

New documents disclosed in a complaint from the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) appear to show California Democrat Rep. Laura Richardson and her staff clearly violating congressional ethics rules and potentially federal law. The documents show Richardson using official taxpayer resources for political events, including fundraisers. “Rep. Richardson didn’t just violate House rules, she likely committed crimes,” said Melanie Sloan, CREW’s executive director. In one instance, Richardson’s chief of staff, Shirley Cooks, told all of Richardson’s aides in an email from her official House account, “All staff are required to attend” a fundraiser held Sept....

Usually, she gives advice. But after broadcasting a five-minute-long rant in which she used the N-word 11 times, Dr. Laura Schlessinger is now on the receiving end. The radio doctor used racial epithet eleven times in five minutes."It's unacceptable," said Abraham Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League. "There's no way that it's acceptable. It's not funny, it's offensive to African-Americans. She should know better. There should be consequences." At least one entertainer, no stranger to the word himself, agreed. Black comedian Paul Mooney once "had a love affair" with the N-word. But in 2007, after "Seinfeld" actor Michael Richards...

Former first lady Laura Bush will speak at an event marking the ninth anniversary of the crash of Flight 93 in western Pennsylvania during the Sept. 11 terror attacks. The National Park Foundation made the announcement Friday, a day before a joint meeting of the Flight 93 Memorial Task Force and the Flight 93 Federal Advisory Commission. Bush said she's honored to speak at the site and that we "must never forget the brave sacrifice of these extraordinary men and women."

I need some clairfication. I was listening to Laura Ingraham, on and off, this morning when I caught the last minute of the show.

Laura Ingraham was invited on Tuesday's Today show, to plug her new book The Obama Diaries, and predict how the midterm elections will go but she couldn't get out of the segment without Today co-anchor Matt Lauer suggesting Republicans are just as unpopular as the Democrats. During the segment Lauer read from a Washington Post poll that stated 6 in 10 Americans don't have faith in President Obama and 7 in 10 don't have faith in Congressional Democrats but then also pointed out that 7 in 10 Americans don't have much confidence in Republicans either as he asked Ingraham: "So...

Laura Bush’s new memoir, “Spoken From the Heart,” is really two books. The first is a deeply felt, keenly observed account of her childhood and youth in Texas — an account that captures a time and place with exacting emotional precision and that demonstrates how Mrs. Bush’s lifelong love of books has imprinted her imagination. The second book is a thoroughly conventional autobiography by a politician’s wife — a rote recitation of travel, public appearances and meetings with foreign dignitaries that sheds not the faintest new light on the presidency of the author’s husband, George W. Bush. Throughout her tenure...

POLITICO recently ran a story about the moments that shaped first lady Michelle Obama’s image. I like seeing so much attention paid to a first lady, and I think Americans enjoy knowing what she is working on and how she is spending her time in the White House. The coverage is helpful for all of us to develop an impression about the first lady. And surely there has been no shortage of coverage. I know firsthand what it takes to manage the diverse portfolio of this unique position, which in fact has no official description. The job is what the...

During a time when young women in the United States have few role models and Britney Spears' misbehavior is fodder for the airwaves, former First Lady Laura Bush continues to represents American womanhood at its best. While Mrs. Bush may have been thought of as an old style first lady because although she was a woman with strong opinions, she understood that her place in the White House was to bring dignity to her role as the first lady of the land. The song, "Stand by your man" might describe the way Ms. Bush supported her husband during his presidency....
