A woman is dead after authorities say she was struck by a plane while mowing the lawn in Oklahoma last week. The woman, identified as 27-year-old Samantha Hayes, was on a lawn mower at the Broken Bow Airport in McCurtain County Friday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. At the same time, a 1972 Bonanza A36 piloted by a 70-year-old man was coming in to land on the runway.

Florida deputies used a taser to stop a man who tried to avoid arrest by fleeing on a riding lawn mower on Saturday. The Okaloosa County sheriff’s office said it was trying to serve arrest warrants on the 40-year-old man and found him on the mower in a backyard. Two men face second degree murder charges after alleged street racing turned deadly in Columbus County. It happened on April 16th near Sandyfield. MOLINE -- A police and FBI investigation continues into a broken-window incident at a Moline mosque earlier this week, authorities said Friday. A Chicago chapter of the Council in American-Islamic Relations -- CAIR -- asked Friday for it to be investigated as a hate crime.
