The New York Times said it vetted her social-media history before Sarah Jeong was hired last week, which means the newspaper was presumably aware of her “Trump is Hitler” tweets. In addition to firing off anti-white and anti-cop missives, Ms. Jeong, the latest member of the newspaper’s editorial board, repeatedly equated Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler on Twitter leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Her account included declarations such as “Trump is Hitler,” “Trump = Hitler,” and “trump is basically hitler,” as well as “Was Hitler as rapey as Donald Trump?”

In 2014, Rolling Stone magazine published the story of University of Virginia student Jackie Coakley, who claimed to have been ganged raped by several of her peers as part of a fraternity initiation rite. As the piece of Jackie’s story began to crumble, recent New York Times hire and notorious bigot Sarah Jeong, who recently came under fire for her history of anti-white tweets, aggressively came to her defense.

Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who holds progressive stances on income inequality, charged as much as $2,700 for tickets at a fundraising event in San Francisco on Tuesday. The 28-year-old held two events in San Francisco’s Mission District, one at 7 p.m. that sold tickets between $500 and $2,700 and another at 7:30 pm. The second event was sold out and moved to a larger venue to accommodate for 400 to 500 people, according to SFGate.
