OK, here’s another one of those occasions when we try to avoid featuring Twitter randos, but some of the things they say just throw so clearly into perspective just how some on the Left actually think and feel that we can’t leave them alone. To jump on this train of thought, you have to go back a day and revisit a tweet from former Secretary of State John Kerry, who for some reason has kept up relations with Iran’s government even though he no longer holds public office. Plus he’s got a book to plug any chance he gets. [snip]...

The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) issued an apology on Sunday after a host at the group's convention over the weekend referred to some attendees as "things and its." The NLGJA noted in a statement that the man who made the remark, a local ABC weatherman in Ohio, was a "volunteer emcee" at the event. "The Association of LGBTQ Journalists celebrated the closing of its national convention in Palm Springs," the group's Board of Directors wrote. "During the closing reception, Marshall McPeek, a volunteer emcee, made an inappropriate, unscripted remark that does not reflect our values." The statement...

The young school-age puppet named Julia feels in her heart she's a boy and wants to be called Julian. Trans advocates say for many very young children and their families, tackling such gender-related questions are real and can be complicated. Enter Julian, the marionette at the heart of three bilingual videos designed to help provide youngsters and their families with the necessary tools to navigate such questions. Julian (the puppet goes by Julien in French) is the brainchild of the Jasmin Roy Sophie Desmarais Foundation, a Montreal-based organization dedicated to fighting bullying, which unveiled the free video capsules and educational...

If the birds and bees followed Planned Parenthood's new guidelines concerning them, they would eventually have to be put on the endangered species list. The nation's largest provider of abortions has new guidelines out on how to talk about sex to preschoolers. Having made it out of the womb (some against Planned Parenthood's better advice), toddlers are now to be indoctrinated in the ideology of the Gender Deniers that holds that biology has nothing to do with gender. While its earlier guidelines advised telling preschoolers, "Women have breasts, men don't," it's new guidelines suggest saying, "Those are nipples. Everybody has...

Two Malaysian Muslim women convicted under Islamic laws of attempting to have sex were caned Monday in a rare public whipping that was slammed by lawmakers and rights activists as a form of torture. Lawyers and activists said the women, aged 22 and 32, were seated on stools facing the judges and given six strokes from a light rattan cane on their backs by female prison officers. More than 100 people witnessed the caning in a Shariah courtroom in northeast Terengganu state, they said. Muslim Lawyers' Association deputy president Abdul Rahim Sinwan said unlike caning under civil laws, the punishment...

This is your brain on liberalism. Healthline is one of the most trafficked websites in the United States. As of Aug 2018, it had a global ranking by Alexa of 614 and a United States ranking of 237. This much respected online health journal announced a major shift this week in an attempt to be more inclusive to the LGBTQIA community. From now on “front hole” will be used on the site instead of “vagina” so that some nutcase who identifies as a teapot or a rake will feel included. Women are reduced to front holes. Caldronpoll.com reported: --- Healthline...

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 23, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – The Obama Health and Human Services Department is finalizing a regulation requiring insurers under Obamacare to pay for genital reconstruction surgery. A sweeping "Nondiscrimination Mandate" applies federal civil rights laws to the Affordable Care Act, calling for medical plans that receive federal funds to cover gender reassignment surgeries, under the guise of helping gender-confused individuals. It is unclear whether the Obama nondiscrimination mandate will also force private insurers, such as companies that run their own employee health plans, to cover surgery attempting to change one's gender. Under federal law (referred to as ERISA),...

Considering the discrimination trans people face on a daily basis, it comes as no surprise that trans people are overlooked when it comes to dating. Two Canadian researchers recently asked almost 1000 cisgender folks if they would date a trans person in a new study published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships. This is the first study to ever attempt to quantify the extent of trans discrimination when it comes to romantic and sexual relationships. 958 participants (all but seven cisgender, ranging in age from 18 to 81, with an average age of 26) were asked to indicate...

As a transgender woman, Trace Lysette had watched from the sidelines as actors like Eddie Redmayne (“The Danish Girl”) and Matt Bomer (“Anything”) played members of her community on the big and small screen. When news hit last month that Scarlett Johansson would portray a transgender man in the biopic “Rub and Tug,” she could no longer stay quiet. Since the “Transparent” actress wasn’t getting opportunities to audition for cisgender (non-transgender) roles, she argued on Twitter that the industry should at least allow transgender actors to play what they know.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Sharice Davids, a leading Democrat in a key congressional primary election on Tuesday, finished a White House fellowship in the early months of the Trump administration. As a lesbian and a Native American, she became convinced that hard-won progress on issues like gay rights and the environment would erode under Mr. Trump, and thought Kansans in her district might support her as a counterforce to the president. ”We had to focus on getting more people elected to decision-making positions because that’s the way that we offset someone who wants to destroy the E.P.A. being appointed to...

Earlier this month CBC News spoke with David, who explained how he came up with the idea while shopping for a new Chevrolet Cruze. His insurance company told him it would come with a premium of about $4,500 per year due to previous tickets and a collision. If he was a woman, he learned, that cost would only be $3,400. A federal judge on Wednesday ordered Wisconsin to cover the costs for gender reassignment surgeries for two transgender Medicaid recipients. Wisconsin residents Cody Flack and Sara Ann Makenzie filed a lawsuit in April over a state rule adopted in 1996 that denied coverage for undefined "transsexual" surgeries, according to The Associated Press. In the suit, Flack and Makenzie argued that the state rule denying them coverage for surgeries to treat their gender dysphoria is a violation of the Affordable Care Act and their rights to equal protection. They argued that the treatment they are seeking is medically necessary, according to...

An organization for lesbians has launched a formal online blast at LGBT activists for calling them “transphobes” and they want the LGBT coalition to drop the “L.” The lesbians argue they are women attracted to women and there’s no room for men who claim they are women. Biology does make a difference, a big difference, they insist, and it’s not enough to simply “identify” as being of a particular gender.
