In the 7:30 segment of this mornings show, GMA host Robin Roberts announced she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has no family history of the disease. It was found on a routine ultrasound exam, not traditional mammography. The type of cancer she reportedly has is more readily detected via ultrasound than mammography. No prognosis was given, but Roberts and Diane Sawyer indicated the cancer had been caught early. ABC has been hit hard by health problems with anchors recently. ST. PAUL (AP) - DFLer Patty Wetterling has sent a fund-raising letter to supporters that says she needs help to make her dream of becoming a U.S. Senator a reality.
