Liddy was the most honest, respectable person in the room that day, and the only one actually speaking or caring about why the bonuses in question were paid. There were plenty of analogies of doofuses trying to seize the moment and appear to be the champion of the people. It's like the Titanic going down. It's like an airplane out of fuel. Was hoping someone knowledgeable could answer: The most astounding comment made by Liddy: only 25 or so employees were responsible for the entire meltdown of AIG (which also affected the entire U.S. economy).
