As Biden administration officials scramble to contain the political fallout over a surge in migration at the border, they have made a series of false or misleading claims, capping off a summer of bending the truth to avoid controversies. From Afghanistan to the economy to the border, President Joe Biden and his top aides have often attempted to deflect criticism of their policies by providing inaccurate information to the public, with varying degrees of success. Here are some of the less-than-truthful claims offered up by the Biden administration since July....

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed on Friday that nearly 30,000 Haitian migrants have been encountered on the US-Mexico border as they try to enter the country. Additionally he noted that the camp under the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas, which serves the length of the border, has been emptied. 'Nearly 30,000 migrants have been encountered at Del Rio since September 9 with the highest number one time reaching approximately 15,000,' he said at the daily White House press briefing.... ....Meanwhile the BBC reported nearly 19,000 mostly Haitian migrants are heading towards the US. They are in Colombia waiting...

Trump administration official and longtime Trump family ally Lynne Patton on Monday night offered a detailed rebuttal against claims involving her, made by former Trump administration official and reality personality Omarosa Manigault-Newman. Manigault claimed on page 149 of her new book Unhinged, according to Fox News, that Trump 2016 campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson had heard from someone who knew political strategist Frank Luntz that Luntz had heard a tape of Donald Trump using the n-word. Manigault then writes, “Lynne [Patton] reported that she asked Trump about it on the plane, specifically whether it was possible that such a tape might...
  • The AP Stylebook Is Getting Crazy

Back in those ancient days when teletypes gave us the sound effects for news, the Associated Press was esteemed as the gold standard of objective news coverage. Inside a liberal media bubble, that pretense continues. But for decades now, AP has tacked hard to port along with the rest of the media establishment. They'll deny it, of course, because that's what they do. But the evidence is there, emblazoned in the AP Stylebook, which sets the rules for the language of news reporting. It also sets the tone of the media elite's daily composition in every format — print, online...

The Clinton campaign released an updated version of the famous “Daisy” ad this week suggesting that nuclear disaster is in America’s future if Trump is elected. CNN reports: A new ad out Monday — which features Monique Luiz, the same actress who at age three played “Daisy” in the ad for Lyndon B. Johnson’s campaign — is part of the campaign’s closing argument against the Republican Party’s presidential nominee. The campaign hopes to cast Trump as too reckless and unhinged to be trusted with the country’s nuclear arsenal. “This was me in 1964,” Luiz says as video from the iconic...
  • Clinton: ‘I Always Take Classified Material Seriously. There’s No Argument About That’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday that she always takes “classified material seriously” and that she was not aware of any argument about that. “I always took classified material seriously,” Clinton said, responding to a question from host John Dickerson about the controversy over her using a private email server for official business when she was secretary of state. “There was never any material marked classified that was sent or received by me. And I look forward to this being wrapped up.”
  • Hillary's email scandal will head for the bone yard, right there with the others

The investigations and the scrutiny will have their effect. A resignation here, a candidate choosing not to run there. But no one will go to jail or be punished in the legal sense for the violations of law in Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server for official State Department business. Washington DC, just like Wall Street, seems immune to punishment for the violation of law. Once a perpetrator has been nailed to the political wall, the issue decided, the political power shifts and the political maneuvers result. Political capital is acquired by one group, lost by another. But do...
