Free Republic

I have the free versions now. It would just be for my laptop. If not Malwarebytes and/or Avast, what is your suggestion. Budget is a consideration. Many thanks in advance.

All of a sudden, my Malwarebytes is popping up continuously with one of the following two messages: It's happening as soon as I open my Google Chrome browser, and seems to happen no matter what website I'm at. What is going on and how do I get it to stop? As always, thanks in advance.
