Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio said Wednesday that he supports House Republican efforts to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress over his failure to comply with the congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious. “Congress… has a legitimate constitutional right to have oversight over the attorney general and the Justice Department,” Rubio said in a weekly video series in which he responds to constituent mail from Floridians. “That’s one of the legitimate roles of the House, is to have oversight to basically hold accountable the decisions made by these agencies.” “Congress requested records,” Rubio continued. “They said,...

Three hours ago over 200 eager supporters where at the Marriot Hotel in Key Largo to great America's great conservative hope Marco Rubio. Entering the doorway first of the panoramic third floor of the Marriot overlooking Fla. Bay with a huge thunderstorm in process was our House of Rep. lady Ileana ros Lehtinen. She stood in the doorway and posed for photos. I got to greet her as she entered and soon sheer pandemoneum erupted as Sen. Marco Rubio entered the doorway. Before he could get into the room he met and greeted dozens of well wishers, posed for photos...

Former First Lady Nancy Reagan, now 90 years young, plays an active role in the frequent events, which she sees as an important ongoing part of the political legacy of her husband. Ronald Reagan was the 40th president. He died in 2004 and is buried a few yards from the auditorium...

Former First Lady Nancy Reagan gave watchers a scare as she arrived at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California on Tuesday night, losing her balance and falling as she entered a room to hear first-term US Senator Marco Rubio (R.-Fla) speak.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) was very disappointed in President Obama’s class-warfare press conference yesterday… describing it on the floor of the Senate as “the kind of language that you would expect from the leader of a third-world country, not the President of the United States.” (Snip) Better yet, prove him wrong, President Obama! Get through a month without deploying a senseless class warfare argument, declaring any new enemies in the American private sector, or castigating citizens for doing the kind of thing prominent Democrats like “Air Claire” McCaskill do on a regular basis. She didn’t just enjoy a tax break

WASHINGTON — Marco Rubio stepped out of a meeting in the Capitol on Monday and an army of reporters rushed him, thrusting recorders in his face. He cracked up laughing, as if to say, Come on, I'm just the new guy from Florida. But the new guy is, for now, one of the hottest things in national politics, a face of the Republican resurrection, the man who improbably toppled a popular governor to win a seat in the U.S. Senate.

With all the talk of many conservatives hoping that Mark Rubio could one day run for President, I have a few questions. From the information available on the Web, It is said that Mark Rubio's parents were here in exile from Cuba. That would imply that they had hopes of returning there one day. Did his parents ever become US citizens? Did they become US citizens prior to Mark's birth?

Raleigh, N.C. – Charlie Crist had better hope Jeff Greene pulls off a miraculous comeback in his primary against Kendrick Meek if the Republican-cum-independent governor hopes to edge GOP nominee Marco Rubio in the general election Senate contest. Among likely voters, Rubio has a slim 37-36 lead over Crist if Greene is the Democratic nominee, but Rubio pulls ahead 40-32 if Meek wins tonight.

The Obama agenda scares people. "I do not believe the president fully supports the free-enterprise system that I support," Rubio says. Florida Republicans, Rubio believes, know in their hearts that Crist "is not going to go to Washington and stand up to this agenda and be part of offering an alternative -- he's just not going to do it." Crist's recent praise for the stimulus and tendency to accommodate Obamacare suggest Rubio is right.

Mark Levin spoke with conservative Marco Rubio this evening about his Republican primary race for Senate against RINO Charlie Crist: Marco Rubio showed he has America right when he said, "I always felt that we already had a Democrat Party; why did we need two Democrat Partys?"

The Club interviewed Rubio on Monday, and Executive Director David Keating said it was "impressed." Donors have to be skeptical of Rubio's chances, and a Club endorsement would provide him both money and legitimacy. "We are very concerned about the two major tax increases Charlie Crist recently signed and believe there's no excuse for his active support of the Obama big-government 'stimulus' spending bill," Keating said. "We are actively considering the race, but have made no decision yet." The organization, which makes a habit of challenge the GOP establishment in primaries, is dancing around the issue for now. While it...

BALATA REFUGEE CAMP, West Bank — Israeli troops on Thursday killed five Palestinians, including a top militant who said just a day earlier that he would never be caught, in Israel's largest military sweep since pulling out from the Gaza Strip last summer. Three of the dead were gunmen from the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades — a violent offshoot of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah Party — killed during a shootout in their hide-out in the Balata refugee camp. The deaths brought to eight the number of Palestinians killed by army fire since the Balata sweep began Monday. The military...

SO WHERE'S the Marcos loot? Anakpawis party-list Representative Rafael Mariano posed this question as he challenged President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to show proof that the $683 million in recovered assets of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos was still intact. "The multimillion-dollar question is: 'Is the ill-gotten wealth still intact? Where is it?'" Mariano asked. In a statement, Mariano said the President was turning the victims of Marcos atrocities into treasure hunters "looking and waiting for luck." He said part of the money might have been used for the campaign of Ms Arroyo in the 2004 presidential election. "We will not stoop to...

Got Brain? By Donnel Jones, April 20, 2004 Home Search Forum Terms The New York Times hits a new low with coverage of an "experiment" that seeks to determine the activity of a person's brain and how that correlates to their being a Democrat or Republican. Science meets pseudo-science. We might as well have Dr. Mengele use his medical training to ascertain the essence of "Jewishness" using various "technologies." Of course, the researchers here are not sadistic half-man who torture children. Rather, they are wasting their patron's money (who is financing this nonsense, anyway?) with technologies that have proved invaluable in medical...

Special Report 2/23/04Marco Polo in Reverse In the spring of 1288 a curious throng packed the Vatican to celebrate Easter and glimpse a visitor from the far side of the world. Rabban Sauma, a Mongolian Christian, had braved a 7,000-mile trek from Beijing. But when he received the Eucharist from the pope, he broke down and sobbed. The crowd's loud amens shook the church. Sauma was the Mongol Empire's first envoy to Europe, just 50 years after Mongol armies were repulsed at the gates of Vienna. Much of his diaries have survived, giving a unique perspective on the West. "Sauma...
