The Massachusetts Senate passed a far-reaching crackdown yesterday on illegal immigrants and those who hire them, going further, senators said, than any immigration bill proposed over the past five years. In a measure of just how politically potent illegal immigration has become, the Senate, on a 28-10 vote, replaced a far milder budget amendment it had passed Wednesday. The sweeping provision, if it makes it into law, would toughen or expand rules that bar illegal immigrants from public health care, housing, and higher education benefits.

This was right around the time that ObamaCare was making its way through the Senate, and Conservatives were feeling fairly dejected. True, we had the victories in Virginia and New Jersey, but while important, neither was earth-shattering. This election is payback, for everyone in Massachusetts who has to work for a living, who isn’t on the dole, or a trust fund. It’s for everyone who hates getting dozens of robo-calls from clueless pols pushing “Marsha” Coakley and from union thugs living large off your union dues. The Coakley campaign has gone all out in venemous TV ads, mailings, and even phone calls. All of the mailings shown below were received on one day -- Saturday, Jan. 16 -- three days before the election. All have a return address of the Massachusetts Democratic Party. Mailing #1. Disgusting claim that Brown wants hospitals to ban treatment for rape victims. This is a hideous lie. Brown merely offered an amendment to a bill which would allow a conscience clause to individual hospital workers to opt out regarding dispensing the "morning-after" pill.

Rally on Littleton Common for Scott Brown, Monday, January 18, 2010, 4:00 p.m. This guy really has a great rapport with the people. He's genuine. Despite horrible weather conditions (and no nearby parking), there were 200-300 supporters there to greet Scott as he wound down his day of campaigning. Terrific enthusiasm! If he doesn't win in a landslide, it could only be due to unprecedented election fraud.

We were at Northeastern University in the hours before Obama's appearance at the Martha Coakley “rally” in Boston today. The people who were lined up waiting to go in appeared comatose as they awaited their messiah. Few Coakley signs were seen, and no enthusiasm was felt. The Brown supporters who turned out, by contrast, were really psyched and fun to talk to. Three cheers for the Northeastern University Republican Club who had an energetic group. The ultra-leftist Huffington Post thinks Scott Brown is a bad guy … for opposing taxpayer-funded sex-change procedures demanded by a convicted murderer. Martha Coakley received an A+ rating from the corrupt, “criminal enterprise” ACORN for her work “fighting foreclosures” in 2008. She was one of only six AG’s to get that high grade. In Tuesday's primary election, Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley swept the 4-person Democratic primary with 47% and State Senator Scott Brown swept the Republican primary with 89%. It attracted very low turnout -- less than 20% state-wide. The general election is in six weeks, on January 19. Police in Cambridge, Mass., gave state Sen. Anthony Galluccio a ride home because acquaintances told them he was too drunk to drive about 13 hours before he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Police were called to a gas station in Cambridge about 4:40 a.m. Oct. 4 after receiving a call about an intoxicated man. The station attendant told police he believed Galluccio was too drunk to drive. Police said another man told them he was trying to drive Galluccio home but couldn't find his house.
