Beloved Freeper known as Mama Dearest has passed away. I (ExSoldier) was notified via private email by her son yesterday. Sharon was a deeply devout Christian and she resided in upper Idaho with her husband, Bob. I first met her here in FR many years ago and we sort of clicked as kindred souls. We kept in touch via snail mail, email and even phone calls with yet another freeper Appalachain Dweller. He actually came to my home years ago from his then home in Virginia and stayed over a week. We are still in close contact, he too is...

I hope this will go through and let each of you know why you are not hearing from him. He loved to talk, argue, share and research on Free Republic and he got to know many of you. His wife Shannon

Many of those present carried banners and placards bearing the logo of the 32 County...

Prominent Vietnam veterans and their families are appalled by an advertisement for a major local mall that shows a woman in front of a wall that strongly resembles the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, with the names of the center’s stores appearing instead of the names of the war dead. Tysons Corner Center reacted quickly to condemnation from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and ordered the immediate removal of 440 of the ads from the Metrorail cars where they have been posted, mall spokeswoman Allison Fischer said Tuesday afternoon. The Tysons ad features a black granite wall engraved with a list of...
