JERUSALEM (AP) - Israeli he Jewish New Year holiday, which begins Friday. He said the U.N. report ignored Israel's 2005 withdrawal from Gaza and the Palestinian rocket attacks that preceded Israel's invasion, adding that lessons must be learned for future agreements with the Palestinians. He said world leaders cannot wait for an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement to affirm Israel's right to protect itself. "So I am telling international leaders: You are telling us that you support our right of self defense. Don't tell us that after the next agreement, tell us now," Netanyahu told Channel 2 TV. "Reject the findings of...

VIENNA (AP) - Experts at the world's top atomic watchdog are in agreement that Tehran has the ability to make a nuclear bomb and is on the way to developing a missile system able to carry an atomic warhead, according to a secret report seen by The Associated Press. The document drafted by senior officials at the International Atomic Energy Agency is the clearest indication yet that the agency's leaders share Washington's views on Iran's weapon-making capabilities. It appears to be the so-called "secret annex" on Iran's nuclear program that Washington says is being withheld by the IAEA's chief. The...

British labor unions agreed Thursday to support a boycott of some Israeli goods in response to the offensive in Gaza. The boycott, approved at the annual conference of the Trades Union Congress, calls for a ban on importing goods produced in some Israeli settlements, an end to arms trading with Israel and disinvestment from some companies. Union officials said the boycott would target products including dates, herbs, fruit and vegetables grown on Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

SOME OF THE CRAZIEST liberals are on the internet. On both Digg and Twitter, I had some Hypocrats (hypocritical Democrats) tell me that since 9/11 happened on George W. Bush's watch, it was his fault for not preventing it. OK fine, let's use that logic. If George W. Bush is to blame for 9/11 because it happened on his watch, then the legendary Franklin Delano Roosevelt is to blame for Pearl Harbor because it happened on his. And while we're at it, if Bush is to blame for Iraq and Afghanistan because he was the first to send troops there,...

Execution Date Set for John Allen Mohammed Ties to al-Qada and Jamaat ul-Fuqra Established byPaul L. Williams, Ph.D.thelastcrusade.org A Virginia judge has set November 10 as the execution date for John Allen Mohammed, the Beltway sniper who masterminded terror attacks in the Washington, D.C. area that left 10 dead in the fall of October 2002. The time-table of the Beltway killings indicates Muhammad’s ties to ul-Fuqra and other Islamic terrorist groups. He acquired the 1990 Chevy Caprice that he would modify into his killing platform on the first anniversary of 9/11, and killed his first victim - - James...

JAKARTA (Reuters) – Indonesia's most wanted Islamist militant was killed in a police shoot-out in Central Java, police said on Thursday, lifting a major security threat ahead of a planned visit by U.S. President Barack Obama. Malaysian-born Noordin Mohammad Top, who set up a violent splinter group of regional militant network Jemaah Islamiah, was widely considered the mastermind of the bomb attacks on two luxury hotels in Jakarta in July, as well as other attacks in Bali and in Jakarta which killed scores of Westerners and Indonesians. National police chief Bambang Hendarso Danuri announced Top's death at a news conference,...

AURORA, Colo. — Federal agents on Wednesday searched the home of a suburban Denver man identified by law enforcement as having a possible link to al-Qaida, carting away several boxes of evidence. FBI special agent Kathleen Wright confirmed that agents had a search warrant for the home of Najibullah Zazi. Residents of neighboring apartments were evacuated as a precaution, Wright said. Zazi denies that he's a central figure in a terrorism investigation that fed fears of a possible bomb plot and led to several police raids in New York City on Monday. Agents left Zazi's apartment with at least six...

...Some European cities already can be reached by Iran’s medium- and intermediate-range Shahab-class missiles. Many more will be in the cross-hairs once Iran acquires long-range intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) — estimates put that about six years out.... To defend Europe — and American troops stationed there — against the possibility of a missile attack from Iran would require a “Third Site.” The U.S. currently maintains one ground-based missile site in Fort Greely, Alaska, and a second at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. The Third Site would be in Poland (ten missile interceptors) and the Czech Republic (a radar installation). This...

Israel will be compelled to attack Iran's nuclear sites if Western powers cannot agree crippling sanctions against Tehran by the end of the year, a former Israeli deputy defence minister said on Wednesday. Ephraim Sneh, who holds no position in the current Israeli government and was speaking in his personal capacity, told Reuters it was not clear the United States and European Union had the decisiveness to take such steps, which should include tougher banking and oil curbs, by year's end.

During the campaign in 2008, President Obama was quite clear about what was needed in Afghanistan. Although he did state that military action was not enough, he described the situation as precarious and urgent, with Afghanistan being the central front in the war on terror. So now he’s taking a wait and see attitude? Here’s a clip from the CBS interview in July 2008. He seemed pretty clear as to what his strategy was at the time.

Once again, the usual discord. On the one hand, U.S. envoy George Mitchell is in Israel to try — once again — to drum up Israeli-Palestinian peace talks that in President Obama’s vision are supposed to blossom, and in a rather short time, into an overall Arab-Israeli peace. On the other hand, the latest hit in the region is Jews as murderous organ harvesters. A story first offered by Algeria’s al-Khabar daily and now spreading like wildfire, the Jerusalem Post reports, in “the anti-Semitic blogosphere and many Arab and Muslim media outlets,” notably including Iran’s official Press TV agency, claims...

Washington, 17 September (WashingtonTV)—An Israeli lawmaker said in remarks published on Thursday that the delivery of Russia’s advanced S-300 anti-aircraft missile system to Iran would accelerate a possible Israeli decision to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. “I hope Moscow understands that the deliveries will at least speed up such events, if not trigger them,” Zeev Elkin told the Russian daily, Kommersant, according to the Interfax news agency. Israel and the United States have pressed Russia to forgo delivering the advanced missile system to Tehran, which would greatly increase Iran’s defense capabilities against a possible airstrike on its nuclear sites. Elkin said...
