One of the most bizarre aspects of the investigations engulfing the Trump administration is the lawyers involved. Here we have a presidency on the line, and this is Trump's team? The top legal spokesmen for each side are . . . Rudy Giuliani and Lanny Davis!? Up until this point, though, Giuliani was the Great Contradictor and Davis was merely a colorful character. Now that has changed in a big way. In a new interview with The Washington Post's Tom Hamburger and Rosalind S. Helderman, Davis is backing off two massive claims he made in recent weeks, including that former...

RUSH: Despite Lanny Davis lying his butt off on every network, claiming that Michael Cohen had information that Trump had prior knowledge that Russia hacked the DNC… Have you heard about this? Have you heard about the two big lies Lanny Davis told? He went on cable news and told everybody that Cohen had proof that Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting and encouraged it, and he said he had evidence/information that Trump had prior knowledge that Russia hacked the DNC emails. Lanny Davis said that Trump knew about the emails, the Podesta emails that WikiLeaks published before they...

"""FBI Raid Thomas Paine’s House, Point Guns At His Young Children; How an Award-Winning Reporter Became Thomas Paine""" I can say with certainty, my decision to journey back into journalism was made after the FBI pointed guns at the heads of my wife and children. I knew that first morning (the FBI actually raided my home twice and pointed guns at my family twice) when federal agents raided our home one definitive thing was going to unfold: These bastards — and their bosses — were going to pay for violating my family. My kids. My home. One way or the...

As you no doubt know, Anderson Cooper held an interview with alleged Trump paramour Stormy Daniels. The questions he asked were prurient: Stephanie Clifford: I realized exactly what I'd gotten myself into. And I was like, "Ugh, here we go." (laugh) And I just felt like maybe-- (laugh) it was sort of-- I had it coming for making a bad decision for going to someone's room alone and I just heard the voice in my head, “well, you put yourself in a bad situation and bad things happen, so you deserve this.”Anderson Cooper: And you had sex with him.Stephanie Clifford: Yes.Anderson Cooper: You were...

Anderson Cooper has taped an interview with Stephanie Clifford, the adult film actress known as Stormy Daniels who alleged a sexual relationship with Donald Trump and is now suing the president. The interview will air on the CBS newsmagazine "60 Minutes," where Cooper is a regular contributor. But the exact air date is unknown. A source involved in the taping said it will air "on a future episode." A "60 Minutes" spokesman declined to comment. Cooper interviewed Clifford's lawyer Michael Avenatti on CNN on Wednesday night.

Scott Adams LIT UP Anderson Cooper today in his AM Periscope. "Anderson Cooper is a piece of sh*t" @ScottAdamsSays calls out #AndersonCooperIsSh*t from 9:35 to 18:30 in this Periscope. It's awesome. Adams: "If you victimize a woman in public for profit & political gain, what does that make you? It makes you a piece of sh*t."

Lanny, shilling his book The Unmaking of the President 2016: How FBI Director Comey Cost Hillary Clinton the Presidency Per the Washington Post: Davis did not rule out that his claims were correct but expressed regret that he did not explain that he could not independently corroborate them, saying that he now believes he “should have been more clear.” [...]Davis told The Washington Post that he cannot confirm media reports that Cohen is prepared to tell special counsel Robert S. Mueller III that Trump had advance knowledge of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting, where Donald Trump Jr. expected to...

An attorney for Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer, is backing away from confident assertions he made that Cohen has information to share with investigators that shows Trump knew in 2016 of Russian efforts to undermine Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Lanny Davis, a spokesman and attorney for Cohen, said in an interview this weekend that he is no longer certain about claims he made to reporters on background and on the record in recent weeks about what Cohen knows about Trump’s awareness of the Russian efforts. Davis did not rule out that his claims were correct but expressed regret that...

James Comey's memoir, pompously titled A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership, set for release on April 17, is out from the reviewer class, and all but one seems to have missed the bombshell in it: that Comey neglected to prosecute Hillary Clinton for her refusal to properly handle the nation's top secrets through her illegal private bathtub server, and exposed those secrets to  our nation's enemies, because he thought she would win the 2016 election.  Some Boy Scout, as he and his allies portray him. Quite a few of the reviewers focus on Comey's descriptive powers, something that could make...

RUSH: By the way, the Comey memos regarding Trump and Flynn, do you know what they really reveal? They reveal that Trump had a lot of reservations about Flynn’s judgment. It wasn’t just related to the phone call he had with the Russian ambassador who went to lunch all the time, Sergey Kislyak. According to Comey’s memos, Trump’s reservations about Flynn were numerous, and they were related to his judgment. Trump was not confident of it. Now, case you’re asking, no, there were no Comey memos ever of any of his meetings or time spent with President Obama. You might...

Listen… Rod Rosenstein Holds Press Conference for Law Enforcement AnnouncementROSENSTEIN: There’s no allegation in this document that any American citizen committed a crime. There’s no allegation that the conspiracy changed the vote count or affected any election result. RUSH: That was after an indictment of a whole bunch of Russians. NOTE: Just because Lanny Davis, the ultimate Clinton spinmeister, declares his client guilty doesn’t mean he committed a crime. So good luck with the ongoing shilling for Michael Cohen, hope that GoFundMe works out for you. And RIP Senator McCain; regardless of everything else he did to tick me off I’m giving him a political pass simply for his five years as a POW in that Hanoi Hellhole. Please don’t speak ill of the dead today. Posted from: MOTUS A.D.

Barack Obama has been quiet and the Clintons are always involved in things. It's no coincidence that Lanny Davis was Michael Cohen's attorney. I'm surprised that more isn't being discussed about how much Obama and the Clintons are directing the Mueller witch hunt. Obama hasn't even been asked about his FBI spying on the Trump Campaign, and what he knew.

What the president’s supporters fear most isn’t the corruption of American law, but the corruption of America’s traditional identity. On Wednesday morning, the lead story on FoxNews.com was not Michael Cohen’s admission that Donald Trump had instructed him to violate campaign-finance laws by paying hush money to two of Trump’s mistresses. It was the alleged murder of a white Iowa woman, Mollie Tibbetts, by an undocumented Latino immigrant, Cristhian Rivera. On their face, the two stories have little in common. Fox is simply covering the Iowa murder because it distracts attention from a revelation that makes Trump look bad. But...

Veteran Republican operative Roger Stone predicts special counsel Robert Mueller will soon indict Donald Trump Jr. on a process crime. Following the indictments of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and longtime Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, the Office of the Special Counsel is now reportedly zeroing in on Trump Jr., whom Stone alleges will imminently face charges for making false statements to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents. “The special counsel is going to charge Donald Trump Jr. with lying to the FBI. Notice they’re not charging him for having an illegal meeting with a Russian at Trump Tower because...

(excerpt) REP. AL GREEN: "... Impeachment is something that the Framers of the Constitution provided for a time such as this and a president such as Trump. The president does not have to commit a crime to be impeached. In fact, the president is not likely to be indicted, which means he’s not likely to be found guilty of a crime while he’s sitting, which means that if this comes before the House, it won’t come before the House as a president who has been found guilty, but rather as a president who is alleged to have committed certain offenses...

Only the final descent of the Trump assassination squads to the supreme self-humiliation of the Michael Cohen-Stormy Daniels nothingburger could drag me from my sublime writing holiday to inflict myself on whatever readers there may be in August. Amid the hydrogen bomb of decrials of moral turpitude and perceived high crimes, there is no one else audible who sees the Cohen rollover as the supreme victory for the president that it is. The Mueller investigation that started out with such a trumpet-blast of portentous Wagnerian prophecy of impending revelations of treason, has fallen to the asininity of getting a sleazy...
