A vote-counting error has thrown a contentious Long Island congressional race into chaos and may put an end to the four-term career of Rep. Tim Bishop. The Democrat's victory in Tuesday's midterm elections is now in dispute after Suffolk County Board of Elections officials announced their tally was off by nearly 4,000 votes.
