<p>Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea because he now believes he can get a fair trial.</p> <p>In a motion filed Friday but released today, Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House "even though I knew that was a complete fabrication."</p>

PARIS - Zacarias Moussaoui's mother said Thursday a life sentence for her son was more cruel than putting him to death because now he will "live like a rat in a hole." Aicha El Wafi, who returned to France earlier this week, said the trial was a masquerade that did not prove her son's guilt, and she accused the French government of not fighting hard enough for him, saying it did not want to oppose the United States. ZACARIAS Moussaoui boasted that he had a "beautiful terrorist mind," as a renowned psychologist told a court in Virginia that the al-Qaeda plotter was a paranoid schizophrenic suffering from delusions. Moussaoui shouted out "beautiful terrorist mind," and was led from the courtroom for morning break, as the death penalty phase of the trial for his role in the September 11 terror attacks continued.
