The Obama administration and its allies are going all out against the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and GOP-leaning groups, accusing them of using foreign money to help finance political ads. Trouble is, they're providing no evidence....On Monday, the liberal group MoveOn.org began airing an ad in Illinois against Senate candidate Mark Kirk using his support from the chamber to link him to foreign corporations that, in the ad's words, "threaten American jobs."

ST. PAUL, Minn. — A new TV ad from the liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org goes after Target Corp. for making a political campaign donation in Minnesota. MoveOn.org spokeswoman Ilyse Hogue said Tuesday that the group will spend $35,000 to air the ad for a week on three networks in Minnesota and on the MSNBC cable channel nationally.

NEW YORK In the most recent bout of MoveOn.org actions against Tribune Company job cuts, the progressive advocacy group solicited petition signatures from community members in Baltimore and Allentown, where two Tribune Co. newspapers have significantly reduced staffs. MoveOn organizers have gathered about 4,000 signatures from Baltimore residents and 1,200 in Allentown, online and during the Dec. 16 drive, asking the Baltimore Sun and Allentown Morning Call not to cut jobs at the papers.
