CNN commentator Symone Sanders on Wednesday blamed the murder of Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts on "toxic masculinity." "Mollie Tibbetts was murdered b/c she told a man to leave her alone while she was jogging," Sanders tweeted. "Her murderer happens to be undocumented. This isn't about border security. This is about toxic masculinity. Mollie Tibbetts lost her life b/c a man couldn't take her saying no. Full stop."

On Wednesday night, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News remained aboard the proverbial liberal media party bus pushing Congress to impeach President Trump and delay or thwart Brett Kavanaugh from reaching the Supreme Court following Tuesday’s bad Trump headlines involving Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort. NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt told viewers amidst their extensive Trump coverage that just because “the Special Counsel has yet to†prove Trump-Russia collusion “does not mean prosecutors exposed criminality in the President’s universe†and quipped that White House correspondent Kristen Welker had a look at “a look at all the President's...

RUSH: To the audio sound bites. Trump last night in Charleston, West Virginia. Trump is an amazing figure in a lot of ways. But as Drudge headlined in the Drudge Report yesterday it was hell hour for Trump, hell afternoon. The media talking about the darkest days of Trump’s presidency, could the end be near? And everybody was thinking, “Oh, my God. This is it. They’re finally gonna get rid of Trump.” And Trump is not staying in the White House sulking or getting mad. He went out to a previously scheduled campaign rally in West Virginia, he gets off...

Reporters foolishly act like liberal political activists. Donald Trump has long demonstrated a knack for getting his political opponents to make fools of themselves. Sen. Marco Rubio learned this the hard way on the 2016 campaign trail when he tried to out-Trump Mr. Trump. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and former CIA chief John Brennan got caught in the trap last week. Mr. Cuomo took issue with Mr. Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” telling an audience full of Democrats that “we’re not going to make America great again—it was never that great.” The audience booed. Mr. Cuomo was...

Appearing on MSNBC’s The Beat early Tuesday night, frequent MSNBC guest and Fordham University professor Christina Greer smeared the memory of late University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts as “a girl in Iowa” that “Fox News is talking about” instead of going all-in on the plea deal for Michael Cohen and the verdict in the Paul Manafort trial. Both legal stories dominated Fox News Channel programming on Tuesday with multiple segments every hour, but that didn’t stop Greer from making that sweeping generalization and trivializing the death of a young college student allegedly at the hands of an illegal alien...

How are Obama’s comments such as Fox News being “destructive” to the country different than President Trump saying that “Fake News” is the “enemy of the people”? Yet, the media’s dire warnings about Trump in just the last couple of weeks could almost fill an entire book.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a rising star in the Democratic Party, but also its far left flank. Some have called her the future. You can take that as a bad thing, given that her agenda will cost us tens of trillions of dollars over the next decade; the three-decade projection soar into hundreds of trillions ($218 trillion to be exact), or view that as a sign of GOP wins for the next decade due to voters suffering from the sticker shock. Her inability to grasp basic economics also doesn’t work in her favor. Still, she gained prominence to clipping incumbent Democratic...

The media freaked out on Saturday after ICE arrested a man in southern California while taking his pregnant wife to the hospital, only for the agency to later announce he is wanted for murder in Mexico. Joel Arrona Lara, 36, was detained at a gas station in San Bernardino, California, while he and his wife were on their way to the hospital for her cesarean section. He reportedly had been living in the U.S. illegally for 12 years.

A coalition of news outlets, including CNN, The New York Times, BuzzFeed and The Washington Post, want the federal judge presiding over the Paul Manafort trial to unseal the names and addresses of the jurors deliberating on the case. The judge, T.S. Ellis III, agreed to hear arguments about the disclosure during a hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. “A thirsty press is essential to a free county,” Ellis said in court when addressing the media companies’ motion. He also urged the news outlets, which are being represented by the firm Ballard Spahr, to appeal his decision should he rule...

Shortened title. Full title: Judge Ellis Declines Motion by CNN, WaPo to Release Names of Manafort Jurors – Reveals ‘I HAVE BEEN THREATENED’ CNN, Wapo and Buzzfeed are demanding the names and addresses of the Manafort jurors be released to the public. On Friday, Judge Ellis, a Reagan appointee, revealed he has received threats, however; he did not provide details.

During Wednesday’s edition of The Lead, the panel found itself in a little bit of shock after learning that President Trump had revoked the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan, who has previously called President Trump treasonous in his new capacity as an NBC News analyst. Panelist Symone Sanders agreed that it was done to distract from any number of negative Trump storylines: “I think someone wants to muck up the news cycle.” She then described the revocation of Brennan’s security clearance as “ridiculous” and warned that “we should all be scared about the state of our democracy”...

The New York Times recently hired as a writer and board member Sarah Jeong. The Times knew that in recent years Jeong had posted a series of unapologetically racist anti-white tweets. She had offered wisdom such as #CancelWhitePeople" and expressed hatred for males. Yet when the Times discovered less graphic versions of such tweets from newly hired technology writer Quinn Norton earlier this year, the newspaper immediately fired Norton. The message of disparate treatment was that what bothers the New York Times is not racism per se, but who is the racist and who are her targets. Over at The...

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Bill Kristol, from the Weekly Standard, went from a leading conservative voice and Obama critic to a Trump hater who worked with Obama to derail the Trump Campaign. Kristol fell so far that he started pushing the Trump – Russia dossier at the same time as John Brennan and the Obama team. Kristol went from leading conservative voice to being the leader of the anti-Trump “conservative” movement in a matter of a few years. Kristol and The Weekly Standard published articles smearing The Gateway Pundit for supporting the Republican Presidential candidate.

More than 300 news publications across the country are joining together to defend the role of a free press and denounce President Trump's ongoing attacks on the news media in coordinated editorials publishing Thursday, according a tally by The Boston Globe. The project was spearheaded by editorial staff at the Globe, who write, "This relentless assault on the free press has dangerous consequences. We asked editorial boards from around the country – liberal and conservative, large and small – to join us today to address this fundamental threat in their own words." Editorials are typically written by opinion writers and...

NBC "News" is perfectly demonstrating why the American people distrust the media's professed belief in facts, or their supposed approach of holding a story until they have enough documented evidence. The latest shameless exhibit? Championing former "Apprentice" star and White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman's new "tell-all" book in which she claims President Donald Trump is a racist and a bigot. She claims that she has heard a tape recording (which she did not produce) of Trump saying the N-word on the set of his NBC reality show. In the book, Newman describes hearing about the tape but not hearing...

It's quite simple: Some political relatives are more equal than others. Agenda-driven journalists love to exploit familial dysfunction when a prominent politician is conservative and his or her kinfolk espouse liberal views. When a vengeful offspring, sibling, cousin or distant relation wants to wreak havoc, instant fame and adoration are just a tweet or call away. The media schadenfreude over such bloody bloodline battles is thicker than California wildfire smoke. By contrast, relatives who openly challenge powerful Democrats are dismissed as gadflies and publicity hounds. Remember when Barack Obama's half-brother Malik criticized his younger sibling over his coddling of corrupt...

Russia Investigation: It's beginning to look as if claims of monstrous collusion between Russian officials and U.S. political operatives were true. But it wasn't Donald Trump who was guilty of Russian collusion. It was Hillary Clinton and U.S. intelligence officials who worked with Russians and others to entrap Trump.

ANALYSIS Since President Trump took office, the economy is booming, according to such reliable sources as federal agencies, analysts and data from the private sector. That may not be good enough for the press, however. The news media is seeking to “rewrite history” to credit former President Barack Obama for this feat, says one major business publication. “The stronger the economy gets under Trump, the more desperate his critics are to hand credit over to Obama. Even if that entails changing the past,” says an Investor’s Business Daily editorial. “A recent New York Times story says it all: ‘An economic...
