The pool reporter who was designated to cover a Joe Biden fundraising call with Wall Street players Thursday evening apparently had an early night. The NBC News pool reporter said she was able to listen to Biden’s opening remarks but was “quickly kicked off the phone call” once the likely Democrat nominee opened the floor to questions. “The last thing your pooler heard was Biden thanking donors and saying he was “open to questions” before a robotic voice exclaimed “goodbye,” Marianna Sotomayor wrote.

At least two people were struck by gunfire and a third was in custody after a shooting Wednesday evening in a suburban Phoenix entertainment district, police said. The extent of injuries was not immediately known. Arizona's Glendale Police Department asked residents to stay clear of the Westgate Entertainment District, but tweeted that "There are no more reports of any active shooting." State Sen. Martin Quezada, D-Phoenix, said on Twitter that he had seen the attack. "I just witnessed an armed terrorist with an AR-15 shoot up Westgate," he wrote.

ice President Mike Pence said Tuesday he's not taking hydroxychloroquine, an unproven treatment for COVID-19 that President Donald Trump has vigorously promoted and claims to be taking himself.

Journalists missed a reference to a Biden gaffe Monday after the Trump campaign launched a new website titled “Truth Over Facts.” President Donald Trump’s campaign launched what appears to be a joke website they described as “an investigative website aimed at uncovering the truth behind [former Vice President] Joe Biden’s never-ending, seemingly incomprehensible statements during his third, plodding campaign for president.” The “Truth Over Facts” title is, in fact, a reference to one of Biden’s public gaffes, where he made the comment during a 2019 campaign speech in Iowa. This seemed to go over many journalists’ heads as they attacked...

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) said on Tuesday that she has had an “opening conversation” with Joe Biden’s campaign about her potential as a running mate pick for the former vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. In an interview on NBC’s “The Third Hour of Today,” Whitmer revealed that she has had a “conversation with some folks” about the running mate slot, but said that she did not see the discussion as particularly formal and is solely committed for the time being to her official duties as governor. “It was just an opening conversation and it’s not something that...

Yesterday, we noted MSNBC's John Heilemann saying there was a "high probability" that President Trump is not taking hydroxychloroquine. Joe Scarborough took things a huge step further on today's Morning Joe, flatly asserting that the president is lying. Scarborough claimed that President Trump announced he was taking the drug in order to distract Americans from, among other things, the virus death toll that has now exceeded 90,000. Notice how they always slam conservatives for "conspiracy theories," but they're always unspooling Trump conspiracy theories themselves. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

President Trump reignited the media firestorm over his endorsement of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) as a prophylactic against and treatment for coronavirus, revealing in response to question that he is currently taking the drug and has been doing so for about two weeks. To my eyes, he appeared to relish the bewilderment and outrage that immediately started brewing among the media facing him. Watch all four minutes for yourself: I happened to be watching Neil Cavuto’s Fox News show when the program cut away to President Trump answering reporters’ questions following his meeting with restaurant industry executives, and so had the...

Embattled NBC executives have been falling over themselves to insist they had no idea about Matt Lauer’s pervy past. But if anyone doubts that New York’s media elite was aware of Lauer’s reputation, they should look no further than a top-secret “roast” of Lauer that took place in October 2008. The notorious event — now legendary in New York media circles — pushed the outer limits of sexist, racist, homophobic and obscene jokes — and left little doubt that Lauer’s colleagues knew NBC’s biggest star had a troubled marriage and a wandering eye. Last week, NBC’s own Joe Scarborough, who...

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Monday accused President Trump of “giving people false hope” after the president revealed earlier that he has been taking hydroxychloroquine despite a lack of evidence proving the drug to be effective in treating and preventing the novel coronavirus. “What the president did with hydroxychloroquine was reckless, simply reckless,” Schumer during an appearance on MSNBC. The New York Democrat also said that Trump was “giving people false hope” with his comments and said “people may take it instead of going to the doctor.” “But it’s worse than that,” he continued. “His own FDA has...

State officials are investigating allegations of sexual misconduct and related cover-ups at NBC News -- and have interviewed potential witnesses including Megyn Kelly, The Post has learned... Former NBC staffer Brooke Nevils, who claims that Lauer raped her in 2014, is also among those who’ve been interviewed, as is Addie Zinone, who’s said she had an affair with Lauer when she was a "Today" show production assistant in 2000, sources said. Kelly -- who left NBC News with her $30 million contract intact following a "blackface" row in 2017 -- sat down with investigators in January, according to a source...

President Donald Trump dropped some news this afternoon. He’s taking hydroxychloroquine at the recommendation of the White House physician. He’s been taking it for a week-and-a-half now. He’s not infected with the virus, but he’s taking it as a precaution since he’s the president and sees scores of people every day.  "A lot of good things have come out about the hydroxy." @realDonaldTrump says he is taking hydroxychloroquine.— Howard Arenstein (@HowardArenstein) May 18, 2020 #BREAKING: Pres. @realDonaldTrump says "I'm taking hydroxychloroquine" against COVID-19.— Emily Finn (@EmilyRoseFinn) May 18, 2020 Trump asked what the evidence is that hydroxychloroquine helps re...

Sunday’s Meet the Press on NBC was a prime example of this as their panel of journalists gushed and suggested Trump was “nervous” of Obama becoming active in the 2020 race, and said the bashing was just the beginning of Obama using the “might” of his name. . . . Todd chided Trump’s sense for political strategy, downplayed how polarizing a figure Obama was, and suggested Trump was afraid of him. “He seems to be wanting to make Obama as polarizing as he possibly can. He clearly seems to be nervous that Obama could be an effective surrogate for Biden,”...

NBC News’ “Meet The Press” admitted late on Sunday that their segment earlier in the day on remarks made by Attorney General William Barr last week was false after host Chuck Todd was called out publicly by a spokesperson for the Department of Justice. The remarks that “Meet The Press” deceptively edited came from the following exchange from an interview that Barr had with CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge: HERRIDGE: In closing, this was a big decision in the Flynn case, to say the least. When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written?...

It's a classic MSM damned-if-you-do-or-don't trap. On Joy Reid's MSNBC show today, MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner suggested that President Trump is "corruptly" going after Sen. Richard Burr [R-NC] because Burr has demonstrated insufficient "loyalty" to the president. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

How does Watergate differ from Obamagate? Journalists led the charge to uncover the first. But now? Now journalists are leading the coverup of the second. J. Peder Zane has illustrated the media coverup exactly: “This week’s news that at least 39 Obama officials had unmasked Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s private conversations during the last month of their administration seemed a little shocking. Today, major media outlets are telling readers and viewers that the practice is “routine.” A CNN headline told readers, “Trump pushes 'Obamagate' conspiracy based on routine intel activity.” Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, now a CNN...

President Donald Trump on Friday removed a watchdog critical of personnel moves in the State Department. Trump informed Congress of the move in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, in which he gave no specific reason for firing State Department Inspector General Steve Linick. Trump wrote he “no longer” had full confidence in the State Department's inspector general.

State Department Inspector General and Deep State hack Steve Linick was fired on Friday night. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo fired the anti-Trump Obama holdover. Linick served as State Department IG since 2013 Linick played a role in the faux impeachment of President Trump over Ukraine. Linick requested an urgent meeting with Congressional Democrat staffers. During the meeting Linick handed over documents related to the Trump administration and Ukraine. The entire impeachment was a scam to divert attention away from the Biden Crime Family and Hunter Biden’s pay-for-play with Burisma Holdings. Linick was an anti-Trump hack who should have been...
