CHATAN, Okinawa — The lawyer for a Marine convicted of raping a woman in the Philippines three years ago denies his law firm had anything to do with her decision last week to recant her allegation. Women’s rights and anti-military activists in the Philippines, however, are claiming the woman’s recantation and subsequent move to the United States raise suspicions that she was coerced by Smith’s lawyers,...

If 2007 was shaped by anything, it was the scuffle to pay for information about Anna Nicole Smith. Before her death on Feb. 8, 2007, I had rarely, if ever, thought about Smith. I certainly had not written much about her. The birth of her baby the previous September was not that interesting. The death of her grown son was, but not that much. He wasn’t a celebrity. She was a Grade D personality, a buffoonish comic strip, a Marilyn Monroe pretender.

NASSAU, Bahamas — Medical personnel applied CPR and other lifesaving measures on Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel for 22 minutes before he was pronounced dead, the head of the hospital said Tuesday. But there was no official word on what caused the death. Police said they had no evidence that Daniel Smith had suffered a heart attack or...

Newly unsealed documents in billionaire Ron Burkle's divorce include allegations by his former wife that he spied on her, their young son and her boyfriend. The documents, released late Friday, also included a declaration from Burkle's 29-year-old daughter that her father once told her his security staff had videos of wife Janet Burkle and her boyfriend having sex. Burkle's attorney, Patricia L. Glaser, disputed the allegations in a letter to the Los Angeles Times. "Mr. Burkle never told his daughter any such thing," Glaser said. "There are no such videotapes. There was no such eavesdropping. This is not true." The...

Pellicano did work directly with one president: during Bill Clinton's first presidential campaign Pellicano was hired, reportedly by Hillary Clinton, to discredit Gennifer Flowers, the woman who alleged that she had maintained a 12-year affair with the candidate. Six years later, with Clinton into his second term, the White House, according to the New York Post, hired Pellicano, considered a respected forensic audio specialist, to look into Monica Lewinsky's background. Another report places Pellicano, who was hired by OJ Simpson before the murder of Nicole Simpson, outside her house on the night that she was killed... Anthony Pellicano has worked...

"I don't keep these dates in my head," Simpson told The Associated Press on Friday as he...

The high school cheerleader who allegedly hid the stolen handgun used to kill actress Nicole duFresne never should have covered up for the murderer, the actress' heartbroken fiancé said yesterday. "She could have come forward. She didn't have to hide out," Sparks said before a memorial ceremony on the lower East Side to honor the woman he had planned to marry...

As Ann Coulter said, bless her scathing sharp soul, Liberals love America like O.J. loved Nicole. Sad words those may be, but with ire they must fill us, If the Left can’t control us, they’d just as soon kill us. It’s a madness you see, coming full to the fore, Since they lost every battle of 2004. The weaker seek shrinks while the blamers point fingers, And the madness just festers, the lunacy lingers. They had trusted John Kerry to lead from above, But the problem with that was his hand fit the glove. And the Swift Boat detectives took...

June 4, 2004 -- LOS ANGELES — In an interview marking the 10th anniversary of Nicole Brown Simpson's murder, O.J. Simpson virtually blames his ex-wife for her own slaying, declares Kobe Bryant and Jacko innocent, appears to mock the idea of date rape — and plugs his own tacky reality-TV show. The disgraced grid legend makes the offhanded comments in a TV interview with Fox News Channel's Greta Van Susteren.
