JAPAN'S Princess Kiko gave birth today to a baby boy – the first male heir to be born into the ancient imperial family in more than four decades, Japanese media reported. Princess Kiko, 39, the wife of the emperor's younger son, Prince Akishino, gave birth by Caesarean section after complications in her pregnancy, public broadcaster NHK said. The child will be third in line to the throne after crown prince Naruhito, the baby's uncle, and his father, Akishino.
