Alison Schumer (right), the younger of Sen. Chuck Schumer’s two daughters, married Elizabeth Weiland on Sunday in Brooklyn, with the couple posing for wedding photos on a bridge over the toxic Gowanus Canal. Alison Schumer, 29, is a six-figure product marketing manager at Facebook — which has donated about $50,000 to her Democratic Senate minority leader dad, a vocal defender of the social media titan on Capitol Hill. Weiland, 33, is pursuing an MBA at Columbia Business School and works in the MTA’s strategic initiatives office, according to her LinkedIn profile. Sen. Schumer showed up for his daughter’s big...
  • What happens if you don't claim your $125 Equifax money? You lose it

On Monday, Equifax settled with the US Federal Trade Commission over its 2017 data breach, which affected 147 million Americans. The settlement of up to $700 million includes as much as $425 million for individual compensation. With so many Americans affected, it's very likely you could qualify for some form of compensation as a result of the settlement. And with so many names, addresses, birthdates and Social Security numbers leaked, you could still be at long-term risk for identity theft.

On the “Tonight Show” Jay Leno told Rick Santorum that his endorsement (that‘s what we’re calling it) of Mitt Romney seemed “kind of tepid,” given that it was sent out in an email at 11 p.m. Monday. “I think we just needed some time,” Santorum said. “It was a rough and tumble campaign. I can‘t say that it would have been an easy thing the next day to turn around and say ’oh you know, lets just go forward.’ It was tough. So I wanted an opportunity to sort of think about it a little bit… Over the weekend I...

Does anyone else think Kris Allen, who was very good won American Idol over Adam Lambert who was great because Red Staters siad "No!" to Lmabert for reasons other than talent? Lambert is the best ever on the show, but I think he was denied because Red State America has had "enough." I hope I'm wrong, just thinking out loud.
  • Did all the Republican Candidates Support the Notion of Fighting Global Warming in the debate?

When the supposed conservative candidates talked about conservation, global warming, and energy, I thought I was tuned into the democrat debate for a while... Although, some of the answers about the oil profits were fine, there was way too much green leaning on all the other points; imho. Did anybody else get disgusted about the fighting the global warming "crisis" that they talked about? Even if they didn't say they support a fight against global warming, I would of thought someone would have stated that global warming is junk science and bad political and economic policy.

The North is highly likely to conduct a second test to demonstrate its nuclear bomb capability More than a hundred days have passed since North Korea shocked the international community on Oct. 9, 2006, by carrying out its first nuclear test at an underground testing site in a northeastern province of the country. The test was a physical demonstration to vindicate its official pronouncement on Feb. 10, 2005 that North Korea possessed nuclear weapons and would further bolster its nuclear arsenal. Although technically imperfect, nuclear test meant that North Korea had crossed the de facto red line, creating enormous geopolitical...
