The Pentagon is denying reports that Gen. David Petraeus will leave his post as commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan at the end of the year. Contrary to the "sensational speculation by one of the London papers" Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said that though Petraeus will not stay in his post "forever," a date for his departure has not been determined, and the general has not quit.
