CLAY, N.Y. — An Oswego County woman was arrested Monday for threatening to send people to shoot up a Red Lobster. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, a Pennellville woman at the Red Lobster in Clay began yelling at staff, claiming her dog and purse were stolen. In a statement to deputies, the restaurant manager said her belongings were found sitting on a chair near her. Still, the woman, identified as June M. A sheriff in New York received a warning after a federal investigation into a complaint that his department flew a Trump flag from a government-owned boat in August. Schroeppel, NY -- The man who was shot and killed during an apparent burglary Saturday at a Schroeppel home has been tentatively identified. Oswego County Sheriff's officials said Timothy Hartigan, 39, was killed after Deanna Candee, 48, and her son, Adam Candee, 25, came home to their residence at 211 Hilltop Drive to find an intruder. A violent struggle ensued during which Deanna Candee got her pistol and shot Hartigan once, sheriff's officials said. Hartigan, who has no known permanent address, was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff's officials said.

A teen and the parents of two elementary school boys face child endangerment charges after officials at the youngsters' school reported the pair had smoked marijuana. State trooper RaeAnn Hickok, the school resource officer for the Central Square school district, was called March 24 to investigate an incident of possible marijuana use by two pupils at Cleveland Elementary School. The Oswego man accused of killing his wife and three children is now in protective custody at the Will County jail. Christopher Vaughn was placed in the jail's medical unit after he was extradited from Missouri. His wife and three children were found shot to death in their s-u-v in Channahon in June. He was later charged with their murders. Because of the nature of the charges, Vaughn was placed in protective custody where he would have a private cell and have limited contact with other inmates.
