Federal authorities arrested a 27-year-old accused white supremacist who allegedly planned to bomb a synagogue in Colorado over the weekend. Richard Holzer had brought a knife and a mask to a motel room and was examining inert pipe bombs prepared by undercover agents moments before he was arrested late Friday night, according to a criminal complaint. He also said he paid a "witch doctor" $70 to put arsenic in the water pipes of the synagogue and "hex" the place last year, according to the complaint.

The incidents occurred sometime during the night of Dec. 5 as the massive Thomas Fire raged through Ventura County. Oxnard police said two black Suburbans parked in the 3700 block Dunkfirk Drive were broken into and personal belongings were stolen. The victims, a family who drove to the location, spent the night with friends when jewelry, a guitar, clothing, electronics and personal papers were stolen from their vehicles. About $75,000 worth of property was taken, Oxnard police estimated. About $10,000 in charges were made on a credit card, leading police to the suspects, authorities said.

A man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child in an Oxnard Wal-Mart store may have preyed on as many as 20 boys in the area, police said Monday. Juan Francisco Gonzalez, 39, is suspected of assaulting boys between 7 and 10 years old, the Oxnard Police Department said. .. OXNARD (CBS) — A jet making its way to Point Mugu Naval Air Station crashed in Oxnard Friday, killing the pilot on board, authorities reported. The Federal Aircraft and Aviation department received reports at 12:15 p.m. of a plane down at Laguna and Protero roads, near Cal State University Channel Islands.
