A government report has been released that looks at how various communities have integrated. It will be of little surprise to anyone that Pakistani women who do not speak English have completely failed to integrate and, in fact, live in an extremely isolated environment. Quite why people close to the government are surprised by this is baffling. Could it be that they live in secluded communities away from the hustle and bustle of the average Brit? It is the very people who commissioned the study that are to blame for the lack of integration. They had an idea of multi-cultural...

In common with the people of Pakistan, Americans have a rich history of peaceful protest when their government strays from its proper purpose. We remember the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War demonstrations and the millions who turn out on the Mall in Washington for any important issue. Today, I am writing about another peaceful protest — that of a fellow Pakistani citizen who has had his rights stripped from him, Guantanamo Bay detainee Ahmed Rabbani. Ahmed’s family originally come from the persecuted Burmese Rohingya; he is a rather humble taxi driver from Karachi, Pakistan. In 2002, he was sold...

Who is really trying to impeach Trump? How did three elite Pakistani spies, called the Awan Brothers, infiltrate the top levels of Government on Capitol Hill, work there for three years, steal secret intelligence, and escape back to Pakistan? The story begins with a radical young...

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz threatened the chief of the U.S. Capitol Police with “consequences” for holding equipment that she says belongs to her in order to build a criminal case against a Pakistani staffer suspected of massive cybersecurity breaches involving funneling sensitive congressional data offsite. The Florida lawmaker used her position on the committee that sets the police force’s budget to press its chief to relinquish the piece of evidence Thursday, in what could be considered using her authority to attempt to interfere with a criminal investigation. The Capitol Police and outside agencies are pursuing Imran Awan, who has run...

Days after former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates confirmed the classified nature of months-old calls between Mike Flynn and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak, the House Ethics Committee has remained silent on whether it will look into complaints against Democratic members who discussed the substance of those classified calls publicly. The committee's avoidance of the allegations against Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff and Jackie Speier, both members of the House Intelligence Committee, comes after it swiftly took up complaints against the Republican chairman of the Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes, over a similar charge.

As many as 26 young women may have been sexually abused at a festival in Germany, with the attackers employing pack tactics to surround and isolate girls before launching their assaults. The method of attack, which separates women from their friends and leaves them vulnerable to sex attacks and theft, has led German newspaper Die Welt to liken the attacks to the mass sexual assaults outside Cologne central station on New Year’s Eve. As of Tuesday morning, there were 18 official complaints made to police about attacks at the annual Schlossgrabenfest music festival in Darmstadt, Germany. That number had risen...

GOP presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz's call for patrolling of Muslim communities with signs of extremism is being bashed as pandering to anti-Muslim voters, with critics saying there aren't even Islamist communities in the U.S. to begin with. They are wrong. They exist — and newly-published documents show that they've boasted of enforcing Islamic sharia law, even going so far as to whip children. Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani militant group that has rebranded itself as Muslims of the Americas, says it has 22 "Islamic villages" in the U.S. Its "Islamberg" headquarters in New York is the most well-known. The Clarion...

As predictably as the arrival of the seasons, San Francisco decided to jump into the debate over North Carolina’s new privacy law less than 48 hours after it was signed. Rather than commenting on it or criticizing the message, the city elders decided to punish North Carolina by banning any official government travel to the state except in cases where it can’t be avoided.

A powerful Pakistani religious body that advises the government on the compatibility of laws with Islam on Thursday declared a new law that criminalizes violence against women to be "un-Islamic." The Women's Protection Act, passed by Pakistan's largest province of Punjab last week, gives unprecedented legal protection to women from domestic, psychological and sexual violence. It also calls for the creation of a toll-free abuse reporting hot line and the establishment of women's shelters. But since its passage in the Punjab assembly, many conservative clerics and religious leaders have denounced the new law as being in conflict with the Muslim...

In December 2001, as the investigation into the U.S. anthrax attacks was gathering steam, coalition soldiers in Afghanistan uncovered what appeared to be an important clue: a trail of documents chronicling an attempt by al-Qaeda to create its own anthrax weapon. The documents told of a singular mission by a scientist named Abdur Rauf, an obscure, middle-aged Pakistani with alleged al-Qaeda sympathies and an advanced degree in microbiology. Using his membership in a prestigious scientific organization to gain access, Rauf traveled through Europe on a quest, officials say, to obtain both anthrax spores and the equipment needed to turn them...

Like some secretive, sinister army they march on their target. With only eyes visible behind black burkhas, scores of women wielding bamboo poles descend on a police checkpoint in the Pakistan capital of Islamabad. As the bullets flew, many of the women took to rooftops to shout anti- Government slogans. Students set fire to two government offices and torched dozens of cars outside. There were even loudspeaker calls for suicide attacks on the...
