On Friday, hundreds of concerned parents, children, and allies gathered in Ottawa to take part in the Education over Indoctrination protest against LGBTQ content in schools. During the protest, kids from Muslim families fed up with gender indoctrination in their classrooms stomped on Pride flags, garnering cheers from the crowd. Footage from the protest captured the moment the children, seemingly at the direction of their parents, stood atop a selection of small Pride flags scattered on the ground and began stomping. The crowd cheered them on, with some older members coming over to shake their hands and voice their approval.

Rock star Dee Snider is no longer featured at the SF Pride Parade & Celebration. Snider was going to perform at the June event in San Francisco but the plug has officially been pulled, according to KRON4. What was the Twisted Sister star’s crime? The musician agreed with KISS rock star Paul Stanley that kids who believe they’re transgender shouldn’t get gender reassignment surgeries. In response to a statement from Stanley, Snider tweeted Monday, “You know what? There was a time where I ‘felt pretty’ too. Glad my parents didn’t jump to any rash conclusions!” That tweet cost him his...

A small Texas city near Austin is about to vote on a policy that may prevent Christian groups from sponsoring Christmas parades, according to the conservative group Texas Values. The policy, listed as Agenda Item #13 on the agenda for the Dec. 8, 2022, meeting of the city council in Taylor, Texas, stipulates what kind of groups can cosponsor events alongside the city. The guidelines require nonprofit organizations to allow people who identify as LGBT on their boards and in the document, the city reserves the right to reject sponsorships for a variety of reasons, including on the basis that...

Not to mention that Pride parades aren’t the most sober of places.”Pride Parades and the Pride festivals that follow are noisy and crowded. They’re filled with sights that may be new to kids, like public nudity and...

Teachers in school districts across the country have been doing hundreds, if not thousands, of these parades over the past few weeks (Google lists over 2,500 news articles on local parades), but especially over the past few days. Yet “car church” isn’t okay! These are just some of the teacher parades that were held in the past few days and the past week, despite there probably being state orders for most of them that prohibit people from taking non-essential trips from home. Veterans have invited the sitting president to attend the event every year for 25 years, and Trump is the first to accept the invitation.........Trump’s support for the parade goes back decades, as in the 1990s he personally offered financial support to save it from financial insolvency. “In 1993, almost 25 years ago, the parade was in difficult financial straits, and the president of the United States—then [known as] ‘The Donald’—no questions asked, just said, ‘Yes, I will do it.’” “He wrote a ginormous check, saved the Veterans Day Parade. He was honored at the Pentagon way back then,” White added....

Journalists with Russian state-run media mocked the military hardware featured in President Trump’s “Salute to America...” During a broadcast of Russian television show “60 minutes,” which airs on the state-owned Russian television channel, Rossiya 1, journalists mocked the military equipment in footage of the hardware captured in Washington earlier this week... “The paint on these vehicles is peeling off. There are no cannons, and their optics have been glued on with adhesive tape,” co-host Olga Skabeyeva claimed during the program. “Americans are allowed to hold a parade because theirs is democratic, but we are not allowed because ours is chauvinistic,”...

President Donald Trump's latest marching orders to the Pentagon could end a nearly 30-year hiatus of major military parades in the US. It's not unusual to see cheering crowds greeting troops and veterans in Fourth of July parades and celebrations for Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Flyovers featuring the latest bombers are common at high-profile sporting events, and Fleet Week programs put military hardware front and center. But unlike the post-World War I and World War II era, when the spectacle of tanks and heavy equipment was more common, there have not been many recent showcases of US military strength....

What follows is an object lesson in why year-end best, worst and other lists shouldn't be published until the year actually ends. A Kwanzaa "parade" was held in Los Angeles yesterday. In reporting on the event, CBS Los Angeles published a work of fiction which absolutely belongs on any 2014 list of most embarrassing moments in journalism (HT Twitchy; bolds are mine):

Independence Day is the yearly pinnacle of patriotism. But, as the media in the 1960s and 70s reported, Americans did not seem very patriotic when it came to the Vietnam War. What if what we know about Americans’ lack of support for our troops in Vietnam is wrong?
