Waiting to pray the last “Unfailing Christmas Prayer”’, started on the Nov. 30 Feast of St. Andrew, at Latin Midnight Mass tonight. ‘Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.”

“Felicem Natalen Christi!” “Christus Rex” My friend Kathie in Indialantic, Florida, who wrote me that she would be at Midnight Christmas Mass tonight and as usual would be in tears when the priest carries the figure of the Christ Child up the church aisle to place in the Nativity Scene manger, can expect to find me standing there with her, if only in spirit. This Christmas is a special one for Kathie as only weeks ago, she was taken seriously ill from toxins left by kidney stones.

Rosaries in the Snow Christmas Eve morning, December 24, 2008 will always endure as one of the most meaningful of my lifetime. And just to think it was courtesy, in part to no less than President Barack Hussein Obama.
