Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris says she owns a gun and called it a “false choice” that the only two gun control options are complete, unrestricted access or a desire to seize everyone’s guns. The senator from California told reporters after a campaign event in Iowa that she is a gun owner. She says, “I own a gun for probably the reason that a lot of people do: for personal safety.” …

Just a reminder that we’re heading into a high threat window. Everyone that can LEGALLY carry needs to do so. If traveling, take some time before departure to think about how to identify, mitigate, and neutralize threats. When shopping, go in teams. DETROIT (AP) - Police say an off-duty sheriff's deputy shot and killed a man who had broken into her home in southwest Detroit. The Wayne County deputy was inside the home when she heard a door being kicked in about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The deputy told investigators she grabbed her weapon and fired shots at the intruder, who was armed with a pistol and wearing a black ski mask. The man was struck in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities didn't immediately release the names of the deputy or the man who died. The Wayne County sheriff's...

"Self-described 'dissident feminist' Camille Paglia has written an op-ed piece for Time Magazine arguing that female college students are naive and careless about the true nature of men as sexual predators. Paglia, 67, a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, penned the column this week in reaction to the recent abduction of University of Virginia sophomore Hannah Graham, 18, who was last seen two weeks ago in the company of a 32-year-old nursing assistant. Jesse Matthew was captured in Texas last week and charged with abduction with intent to defile, but so far there is no sign...

PICKING YOUR BATTLESby Timothy Rollins, Editor and Publisher March 5, 2002 If there has ever been a time to pick sides, that time is now – and that applies to every aspect of your life imaginable. Six months ago, I may not have said that publicly (though I have privately practiced that philosophy my entire adult life), but since the events of 9-11, all bets are off. In every area of our lives, we are called upon to make choices, and those choices we make will affect other areas of our lives – as such, we need to choose carefully...
