NATIONAL BUNDT DAY National Bundt Day, also known as National Bundt Cake Day, is observed every year on November 15th. As people across the United States plan menus for the holidays, a bundt cake is sure to be on the list at least once. #NATIONALBUNDTDAY A Bundt cake can be any cake baked in a Bundt pan, forming it into a distinctive ring shape. The mold of the Bundt pan was initially inspired by the traditional European fruit cake known as Gugelhupf. It was in the 1950s and 1960s that the cookware company Nordic Ware popularized the style for the...

The Supreme Court has been under attack since the 2020 election, with protests outside the homes of judges, an unprecedented leak, and now scrutiny in the professions of family members. SCOTUS released its report earlier this month into who might have leaked the draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito concerning returning the question of abortion back to the states. The report did not find the leak, but one lawmaker has expressed an opinion on the matter. Now there is a question about the professional work of one of the justices’ wives. U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts’s wife could face...

Seventy years ago, when Arlene McCardle was a 19-year-old on the cusp of 20, she entered what later would be known as the Pillsbury Bake-Off, making the contest deadline just in time. She became Wisconsin's sole junior finalist on the strength of her recipe. McCardle baked her Venetian Cocoanut Cake at the competition in December 1952 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York — a four-layer sponge cake with alternating layers of pudding-like vanilla and chocolate fillings, topped with toasted coconut. (Cocoanut was an old variation on coconut still in use into the midcentury.) Pillsbury published the junior winner's recipe...

Antiviral pills have been able to provide treatment for viruses like HIV, influenza and more. The U.S. is now investing in a pill for COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine was a worldly effort that resulted in the fastest vaccine ever made. The shot put a door stop in the pandemic and allowed millions of people to feel safe and return to a sense of normalcy. Now that there’s a vaccine that drastically reduces the odds of contracting the disease, the U.S. government is interested in a pill that could treat COVID-19 infections. As reported by the New York Times, the U.S....

Some 12,500 cases of 5-pound bags of Pillsbury Unbleached All Purpose Flour have been recalled because of possible salmonella contamination. This information was posted on the websites of two supermarket chains, Publix and Winn-Dixie, which said that the product was recalled by the parent company of Pillsbury baking products, Hometown Foods Company. Flour marked with two lot codes are involved in the recall: 8 292 or 8 293 representing about 100,000 bags of flour. The packages carry a best-if-used-by date of April 19, 2020. No announcement was posted on either the Hometown Foods Company’s website or the Food and Drug...

Washington veteran Michael Pillsbury has quietly become a key figure behind Trump's confrontational China policy, to the dismay of Beijing — and some fellow China experts. -- A day before President Donald Trump departed for the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, several top officials gathered in the Oval Office to strategize about Trump's highly anticipated meeting there with China's president. Seated around Trump's Resolute Desk were Vice President Mike Pence, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer. On couches a few feet away were White House chief of staff John Kelly, Trump's son...

Mark Levin sits down with Author Michael Pillsbury on Life Liberty & Levin on Fox News Sunday to discuss his book "The Hundred Year Marathon", as well as China stealing American technology over the past 40 years and more! This is a 39 minute video. It is worth watching in it's entirety and engrossing. The money part for me was from 35 minutes on where the 100 year marathon is explained. The Chinese clearly intend to dominate the world which necessatates subjugating America. They are counting on Trump derangement to get them there.

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 49. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described the Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show...

OWATONNA — Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, which has been in existence since 1957, is closing at the end of the year. On Tuesday, the Pillsbury Baptist Bible College Board of Trustees voted to cease academic activities on Dec. 31, said Tom Lawson, director of communications and financial aid at the school. Lawson cited national conditions combined with deficits caused by declining enrollment that exhausted the school’s financial reserves. It left the college without the necessary funds to complete the remainder of the school year.

Stop the presses! Lefty Alterman defends WSJ's Fund. Conservative Wall Street columnist John Fund may be one of those terrible right-wingers who picked on poor Bill and Hillary Clinton, but he is "not the kind of guy who pretends to want to marry women and then beats them up," wrote the "Nation's rabid leftie Eric Alterman. Noting Fund's conservative sins, Alterman says it "was fun to imagine, after he got himself arrested last year, that Fund was really a monster who had walked out on a planned marriage with his girlfriend and then beat her up - the dastardly deeds...
