The pro-DeSantis super PAC Never Back Down reported payments of more than $130.6 million in 2023 while a newer super PAC Fight Right reported $9.6 million between mid November and December. His own campaign spent $28.3 million from May to December. DeSantis relied on support from outside groups more than any other major candidate since a U.S. Supreme Court 2010 ruling paved the way for super PACs.

“The View” host Joy Behar on Tuesday described former President Trump as the “most dangerous” president in her lifetime. Behar, a liberal voice on the talk show who frequently criticizes Trump, said the former president is a perfect “target” for humor because he is so “stupid” during a discussion on whether the United States has lost its sense of humor about politics. “The guy looks at the eclipse and they tell him ‘don’t do that’ and he does exactly that, it could’ve blinded him. He believes Frederick Douglas is alive. He has no information at all. He is an incredible...

Just finished watching the spectacular results of the New Hampshire primary when I was struck with a possibility of what is happening with birdbrain. Most of her votes came from crossover democrats. What if she is just tying up republican money in the primaries? Every open primary allows for significant crossover voting and justifies her staying in. How much republican money is therefore wasted. It's already obvious she can't win. Staying in just hurts the party. Here's the conspiracy part. We've all been trying to guess who will replace slo joe at the convention. What if it's her. She can...

The Gateway Pundit’s Kristinn Taylor shared an explosive story last week that Barack and Michelle Obama are angling to replace decrepit, unpopular Joe Biden with the younger and more popular Michelle as the Democrats’ presidential nominee. Michelle has reportedly already surveyed major Democrat donors about her potential candidacy and in 2022 allegedly told a gathering of CEOs in New York City she was running. Now, the New York Post’s Cindy Adams reveals that a secret plan has emerged to throw Old Joe under the bus. She claims it comes from “credible sources few have access to and usually not meant...

Guatemala inaugurated leftist President Bernardo Arévalo in the early morning hours of Monday following a series of delays, squabbles, and confusion in Congress. The inauguration was scheduled to take place on Sunday. Arévalo, who succeeded conservative President Alejandro Giammattei, began his term vowing to “rescue” Guatemala from corruption as his political party, the Semilla Movement, faces an investigation by the Guatemalan Prosecutor’s Office that resulted in the party’s disqualification from politics in November. As a result, its recently-inaugurated lawmakers took office on Sunday as independents.

Doug Burgum (R) endorsed former President Trump for president on Sunday after dropping out of the presidential race last month. “But four years ago, I was speaking on behalf of President Trump at the Iowa caucuses in Sioux City, and today I’m here to do something that none of the other presidential primary candidates have done. And that’s endorse Donald J. Trump for the president of the United States of America,” Burgum said at a rally for Trump in Indianola, Iowa.

A poll released Thursday of Iowa voters found that, among Republicans, former president Donald Trump maintains a dominant lead in the days ahead of the caucuses. But it is the first to find former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley opening up a clear lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The Suffolk University poll of 500 likely caucus-goers finds 54 percent saying Trump is their first choice, followed by Haley at 20 percent, DeSantis at 13 percent and Vivek Ramaswamy at 6 percent. Polls in the state last month found DeSantis about even or ahead of Haley. Nearly all have found Trump...

Partial transcript as follows: WHOOPI GOLDBERG: I mean, you’ve seen what the lengths that the people have gone through to make sure his feet don’t touch the ground. Do you think that letting him get away with being an insurrectionist is the right way for us to let the country know how we — what are going to do it next time we get another one?...

I had a discussion today with a church buddy, he was professing the fact that Nimrata was going to be the GOP choice for president. Back-and-forth banter took place. My thought is that her parents were NOT citizens at the time she was born, therefore she is not eligible. Similar to Obama. He also stated that anchor babies who are born in the United States are automatically US citizens. I disagree. Please help.

In the 1980s, when the calendar turned from April to May, Dot Burghard would take out the envelopes and blue pens and start a process that would last seven months or longer. Burghard, a volunteer at the Office of the Vice President in Houston, spent her summers and falls addressing envelopes for a massive undertaking: George H.W. Bush’s Christmas card list. The operation, which had around 30,000 recipients at its peak, required a start date two seasons before the holidays. And when December rolled around, Burghard was joined by a room of volunteers — all women — turning the office...

Donald Trump demanded an appeals court in Washington dismiss a federal indictment accusing him of conspiring to overturn the 2020 election, in his latest attempt to avoid prosecution. The former president's lawyers made a late-night court filing Saturday to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, claiming he is immune to charges because they stem from actions he took while serving in the White House. It is the latest development in an ongoing and pivotal legal dispute between Trump and special counsel Jack Smith over election interference. The 77-year-old Republican argued the case should be dismissed...
