A JUDGE today ordered the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne to produce the medical file of a suicidal woman who was given an abortion when she was 32 weeks pregnant. Supreme Court judge, Justice Bill Gillard, dismissed an appeal by the hospital against an earlier decision by a magistrate. Outside the court, Victorian Health Services Commissioner Beth Wilson said she was disappointed that patient privacy and confidentiality should count for so little.
