HARRISBURG—The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced today that Jalil Ibn Ameer Aziz, 19, a U.S. citizen and resident of Harrisburg, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Scranton on charges of conspiring and attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). BOSTON (CBS) – A Christopher Columbus statue in Boston’s North End was vandalized Monday with red paint and the phrase “Black Lives Matter.” Red paint was poured over the top of the statue on Monday night, while Black Lives Matter was sprayed on the back using black paint.

Hundreds took to the streets in McKinney, Texas, to protest police. At least 800 protesters took to the streets of McKinney, Texas, to express outrage over a police bust of a pool party that many saw as overly aggressive. A group of Walmart employees pushing for higher wages said on Friday they were planning protests at 1,600 Walmart stores nationwide on Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year in the United States. SPOKANE, Wash. — Police said they arrested one juvenile male in connection with the beating death of an 88-year-old WWII veteran Wednesday. The suspect has been charged with first degree murder and first degree robbery. His name has not yet been released because of his age. The other suspected killer is still on the loose.
