At the virtual Democrat National Convention last week––where at least two caucus meetings began with recitations of the Pledge of Allegiance without the words "under God"––the public was treated to tasteless and remarkably unfunny jokes from Hollywood’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and a video featuring Donna Hylton, who spent 27 years in prison for her involvement in the grisly murder and torture of Thomas Vigliarolo, a NY businessman found stuffed inside a steamer trunk and left to rot in Harlem.

In the middle of the night past I felt a burning sensation traveling up my esophagus. This was followed by fits of coughing and sweats. I had eaten something that had gone rancid, probably either peanut butter, canned peanuts or cooking oil. Previous nights recently I had the same problem, which I believe came from cookies. My attack last night lasted about two hours instead of a more typical thirty minutes. I tried to deal with it by spitting out whatever I could, which was mainly mucus. SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- The KCBS newsroom received calls Friday afternoon reporting an unusual and unpleasant smell in San Francisco. Most of the callers reporting the odor were in the city's Sunset and Richmond districts. A city spokesman said the sewage treatment plant didn't report having any problems and that everything appeared to be functioning normally. A Public Utilities Commission spokesman did say that he smelled something unusual in the Civic Center area. The stench could also be smelled for a time in the financial district.

If you're confused and need direction this political season, hold tight, because you can be sure that a rock star will be along shortly to show you the way. Musicians, some loosely defined, are mobilizing big-time this year to oust Bush. A CD, titled "Rock Against Bush, Vol. I," was released earlier this year, purportedly to raise money for organizations which encourage young people to vote. Bands such as Sum 41, Offspring, New Found Glory and Jello Biafra with D.O.A. are included on the compact disc – I believe the latter is also included on the dessert menu.

Well, well...looks like I have a few names to add to my boycott list. I just wanted to bring attention to a new CD I noticed in my local music store entitled "Rock Against Bush, Vol. 1". According to this site, "Money from sales of the album will go into print and television ads encouraging young people to vote Bush out of the White House. Fat Mike told MTV.com he hopes to have "one or two famous punk rockers" appear in the ads." ...and while I was posting this, I came across a follow-up CD to be released: Rock Against...
