People shopping for electric vehicles starting next year will be able to get a $7,500 federal tax credit off the sticker price while at the dealership, rather than having to wait months to receive their tax returns. The changes to how car buyers can get the federal tax break on EVs — part of the Inflation Reduction Act — were announced by the Biden administration on Friday, and are being rolled out to car dealerships before they take effect starting January 1. Under the new guidance, those purchasing a new electric vehicle or plug-in electric vehicle that qualifies under the...

President Joe Biden confirmed Monday he was considering a gas tax holiday and even gas rebate cards to help drivers suffering from the high cost of fuel. The president spoke with reporters about a gas tax holiday as he spent the morning at the beach with his family.

While the Biden administration and congressional Democrats scramble to blame inflation on anyone but them ahead of midterms, a scheme to pour gasoline on the fire in the forms of fuel rebate cards has already been derailed by the ongoing chip shortage, according to the Washington Post. Biden: “OK, hear me out — What if we tried to solve the inflation crisis with … more inflation!?” https://t.co/qCEIqG5G53 pic.twitter.com/6o9wxXIMVU — Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) June 17, 2022 Some White House officials also expressed concern that there would be no way to prevent people from using the cards for purchases other than gasoline....

Joe Biden’s computer chip shortage has killed off one proposed White House solution (if you want to call it that) for people suffering under Joe Biden’s record gas prices. His Fraudulency Joe Biden deliberately caused these record gas prices with an executive order that killed domestic oil and gas expansion and exploration. But now that his approval ratings are in the dumpster, the White House thought one “solution” to this might be to offer Americans free money in the form of gasoline rebate cards. There’s just one problem… Those cards would require a computer chip, and along with all the...

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) told Californians that he was working on a potential rebate to offset the escalating costs of gas as prices broke historic records across the country Tuesday. “No one's naive about the moment we're living with high gas prices and the geopolitical uncertainty that's fueling them,” Newsom said during his State of the State address. “I'll be submitting a proposal to put money back in the pockets of Californians to address rising gas prices.”

Many of our fellow Americans live in areas where leftists have poisoned the school systems. TRADITIONAL TEACHER MODEL My primary model would have about twenty kids in a class and a tuition of around $3,500/year/student. Each teacher would set his/her tuition rate and maximum class size and handle student admission. Homeowner associations might host hook-up events for teachers, parents and prospective students. Tuition might be paid monthly for affordability and two months in advance (so it won't be problem for the teacher if the parents have a major car repair bill one month). Men and women who have good English...

When I was pregnant with my first child 16 years ago, I asked my doctor how much it would cost to pay for the birth out-of-pocket. He had no clue. The truth of the matter is that in most cases, neither doctors nor their patients have any idea what their treatments cost. That's because the health care market is not a real market. The prices that emerge in this "market" aren't the result of supply and demand, influenced by innovation and competition. Instead, they're the product of a bunch of legislators who want to create a system where anyone but...

Smith and Wesson (S&W) has been offering a rebate on some of its firearms. The interesting note is that magazines and ammo can NOT be sent to the following states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York With the exception of Alaska (Don't know why that state will not allow shipment of mags & ammo), all of the states listed are known to be hotbeds of radical, leftist ideology. The ad confirms that fact. Those states are the enemy of conservative ideology.

British Prime Minister David Cameron insisted Friday he would not pay a European Union bill for an additional €2.1 billion ($2.65 billion) contribution to the EU coffers at a time of increasing pressure at home for the country to leave the bloc. Thumping his fist in frustration, Cameron said “people should be in no doubt: as an important contributor to this organization, we are not suddenly going to get out our checkbook and write a check for €2 billion. It is not happening.” Cameron said asking Britain for a top-up of some 20 percent in its contributions on short notice...

Germany will get an early Christmas present of around €779 million from the EU, thanks to weaker than expected GDP growth. It will receive the rebate on its contributions to the European Union on December 1st, while Britain will have to pay €2.1 billion on the same day. “The British economy is growing much faster than the others, and the logic is the same as with tax: if someone earns more, they pay more tax,” EC spokesman Patrizio Fiorilli told AFP. …

ObamaCare's 'Great Rebate' Was Supposed To Get Votes, Gets Confusion InsteadMerrill Matthews, Contributor 8/15/2012 @ 11:28AM It appears Democrats have utterly mangled ObamaCare’s much-hyped health insurance rebate that was supposed to be hitting your mailbox. Now, rather than taking credit for putting money in your pocket just a few months before the presidential election, the Obama administration is scrambling to explain, and defend, the plan to millions of confused families and employers. **SNIP** The roughly 12 million people who buy their own health insurance will be mailed a rebate check directly if they’re entitled to it. However, for employer-sponsored coverage...

President Obama is calling for a $250 rebate for seniors after the Social Security Administration announced Friday that interest rates in 2010 haven't risen enough to justify an increase in benefits next year to the 58 million retirees and disabled Americans who receive the entitlement. Congressional Democrats, already in a precarious position headed into Election Day, are heeding the president's call. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs announced that in light of the economic downturn and the fact that Social Security will not provide a cost-of-living adjustment for a second year, the president will ask Congress to approve a $250 "economic...

Obama (D, Trier Tavern Club), Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D, Lubyanka Square), and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D, Cheka) has been assigned the duty of looking after a lovely but non-functioning automobile. It sputtered for awhile, then stopped. Now when you turn the key, it just makes that well-known “click-click-click” sound. It doesn’t do a thing. So they washed it, because that’s something they know how to do. They washed off all the dirt;...

In the business world, there’s an unfortunately popular sales technique known as “pulling forward.” You’re having a slow quarter, and there’s pressure to improve it, so instead of trying to get new sales, you go after the orders you already have in hand for next quarter, and contact them again: “Hey, what would it take to get you to move up next quarter’s order to this month instead? Three percent off? … Five?... Six?... Done!” You hang up the phone happy, now that you’ve made your numbers for this quarter. It wasn’t a new sale; this stirring success is utterly...

The Federal Stimulus Package has been distributed in many different ways around the nation, and now some people are getting an $8,000 tax credit for buying a souped up golf cart. Golf cart manufacturers have found a way to cash in by selling their carts as street legal, low speed vehicles. Under the president’s stimulus plan, those who buy one of the electric vehicles, can get a check back for up to $7,500. “I only came in because I was impressed with the fact of the rebate,” one customer said. “I could foresee using this for all our driving within...

The democrats demanded, and Bush (foolishly) accepted their "demands" for a stimulus to fight the Democrat-created "fuel crisis" of February, March, April, and May of last year. For most IRS filers - but for no illegal aliens and tax cheats, this was 600.00 per individual, 1200.00 for married - no kids, etc. A substantial amount if used properly. Easily forgettable if it was wasted on trivial junk or fast food and lottery tickets and "stuff". As most would be in many cases. But .... The IRS claims it was taxable, it woul dchange your "taxes" for 2008. This is true....

Will the stimulus bill compromise lower your tax rebate to $8 per week? That appears to be true. The final version has not been passed, but reports indicate the $500 per year in reduced tax withholding has been reduced to $400 per individual and $800 per couple. That only comes to $8 per week for an individual and $16 for a couple. If they start the payments in June and make it retroactive to the beginning of the year, you will get $13 per week until next January. Then, your rebate would drop to the $8 per week level. Are...
  • If you are expecting a big stimulus rebate, how does $10 a week sound?

Many people remember the $600 or $1200 dollar stimulus rebate they got from President Bush. They were expecting more from Barack Obama. They were wrong. The Democratic stimulus bill before the Senate only gives individuals a maximum of $10 a week more in take home pay. Joint filers can get a maximum of $20. That is $500 per individual and $1000 per family spread over one year. Some low end and high end wage earners won't even get that much.
