The White House on Thursday said it was behind a miscommunication that caused Senate Democrats to think a Republican lawmaker told President Obama at a private budget meeting, “I can’t even stand to look at you.” For a second day in a row, the White House said the incident did not happen, but Thursday it also apologized for the confusion and accepted blame. “While the quote attributed to a Republican lawmaker in the House GOP meeting with the president is not accurate, there was a miscommunication when the White House read out that meeting to Senate Democrats, and we regret...

Stopped by my local Wal Mart this morning. They are out of almost every kind of ammo. I asked to talk to the person in charge of ordering to see if they had any information on this subject. A Latina aide to the lieutenant governor of Florida has been caught up in a sex scandal involving her boss. A former employee of Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll claims the Sunshine State’s second in command had a tryst with top aide Beatriz Ramos, and even caught them in a “compromising position” inside Carroll’s office. The lieutenant governor denies the allegations, which were included in a court filing made late last week by the attorney representing former top aide Carletha Cole. Cole was arrested last October on charges that she gave an illegally taped conversation with another Carroll aide to...

Former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky has been charged with sexually abusing eight children, with something like a dozen more also claiming they were victimized. That's horrible. Powerful PSU figures appear to have attempted to cover up what they knew. That makes it even worse. But if one rumor turns out to be true, this may become a story too awful to compare to any other. There's been nothing reported by an investigative journalist or law enforcement official so far, but a handful of media members are talking about investigations into whether Sandusky may have shared some of his victims...

Take with a HUGE grain of salt… Huge. Conservative talk show host, Dr Gina Louden, says that she has “information from a reliable source,” that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is reconsidering a run for the White House in 2012. Sarah Palin announced on October 5, that she would not be running in 2012 and that she would not run third party. With the recent fire storm that has hit Herman Cain about sexual harassment charges and with Romney being a complete RINO, a Palin entrance would be pretty awesome right now. You can listen to audio of Dr. Gina...

There is one front page news story that will certainly not go unnoticed: that is, that the Pope is thinking about resigning during the Spring of 2012. Journalist Antonio Socci has confirmed the same in the Italian daily, Libero. "For now,” Socci writes, “he is saying that this may be true (Joseph Ratzinger’s personal assumption), but I hope the story does not reach the news. But this rumor is circulating high up in the Vatican and therefore deserves close attention. The Pope has not rejected the possibility of his resignation when he turns 85 in April next year.” Socci recalls...

A rumor is floating around the physics community that the world's largest atom smasher may have detected a long-sought subatomic particle called the Higgs boson, also known as the "God particle." The controversial rumor is based on what appears to be a leaked internal note from physicists at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a 17-mile-long particle accelerator near Geneva, Switzerland. It's not entirely clear at this point if the memo is authentic, or what the data it refers to might mean — but the note already has researchers talking. The buzz started when an anonymous commenter recently posted an abstract...
