The terror suspect accused of plowing a rental truck into cyclists and pedestrians in lower Manhattan drove into the city at least twice in a single day less than a week before the attack — and cops are investigating whether he was making a dry run, police sources told The Post.

We can hardly be surprised to learn the FBI previously interviewed New York City truck terrorist Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov for a terror-related investigation. The FBI interviewed Saipov in 2015, according to sources. We believe it was Bureau agents in Florida but we are checking. Saipov previously lived in Florida before moving to Paterson, NJ. This story seems to be taking on similar FBI undertones of Orlando jihadist Omar Mateen who was interviewed by the FBI four times prior to killing 50 people at the Pulse nightclub in the name of Islam. As I write this, a few facts are starting to trickle out about Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, the man who committed the terrorist attack in Manhattan using a rented Home Depot truck on October 31, killing eight and injuring nearly a dozen more innocent people. (See, for instance, here and here.) First, we are told that he is Uzbek, having arrived in the United States from Uzbekistan "legally" in 2010.
