Nineteen retired generals, admirals, and former top civilian defense officials have filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court, opposing former President Donald Trump’s plea for immunity from prosecution, claiming that granting such a request would pose a significant threat to national security. The Supreme Court is set to deliberate on Trump’s presidential immunity argument on April 25, as reported by The Gateway Pundit. The Supreme Court will deliberate on whether a president can be shielded from legal consequences for actions taken while in office. The decision, which may not arrive until late June, according to analysts, has significant repercussions...

President Bush on Friday picked physicist Michael Griffin to lead NASA as it prepares to resume space shuttle flights and tries to meet the White House goal of sending astronauts back to the moon in the decade ahead. If confirmed by the Senate, Griffin would become the space agency's 11th administrator. Members of Congress immediately praised the president's choice, as did John Logsdon, director of George Washington University's space policy institute. "I've known Mike for a long time and have a great deal of respect for him as a kind of innovative thinker, real enthusiast full of energy," Logsdon said....

"Administrator Sean O'Keefe, who over the past three years led the National Aeronautics and Space Administration through an aggressive and comprehensive management transformation and helped the agency through one of its most painful tragedies, resigned today. In his resignation letter to the President the Administrator wrote, "I will continue until you have named a successor and in the hope the Senate will act on your nomination by February." "I've been honored to serve this President, the American people and my talented colleagues here at NASA," said Administrator O'Keefe. "Together, we've...

CNN) -- NASA's vision to explore the moon and Mars moved forward Thursday with a restructuring effort to streamline the agency's bureaucracy and support an independent private space industry. Sean O'Keefe, NASA's chief, announced the plan to remake NASA into a "sustainable and affordable" organization that was once-again renowned for its innovation, courage and entrepreneurial spirit. "Transforming the way we do business [requires] very specific efforts," he said. "We have to develop an agility...to respond more rapidly to changing events." One of the most immediate changes -- which goes into effect August 1 -- will divide NASA's strategic offices into...

Monday, May 05, 2003 MOSCOW (AP) - It was a sickening feeling the NASA chief hoped never to experience again, least of all three months later. But when communication was lost just minutes before the touchdown of the Russian capsule returning three men from the international space station, Sean O'Keefe relived the morning of the Columbia disaster all over again. He shuddered just thinking about it Monday. "God, it was just unbelievable is what it was," O'Keefe told The Associated Press. Unlike the Columbia accident in February, when NASA knew within minutes the shuttle had broken apart over Texas and...
