Jacob Chansley, the "QAnon Shaman" who wore patriotic face paint with animal fur and horns in the United States Capitol riot on Jan. 6, is running for Congress. Chansley filed paperwork to run as a libertarian in Arizona's 8th Congressional District last week, according to a submission to the secretary of state's office. The seat is presently held by Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ), who announced in October she wouldn't be running for reelection. Lesko's term ends in January 2025. After he was charged with obstructing an official proceeding during the riot, Chansley pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 41 months...

Jacob Chansley is the so-called QAnon Shaman that had the painted face & the horns, which the press made the poster boy of J6. It's an extremely interesting & worthwhile interview, that I believe after you watch the interview, you will walk away with a much different view of him, even if you didn't believe the press BS about him. While I didn't believe the press about him, I kind of thought he was a little strange & mostly weird.

Bureau of Prison records showed Chansley is in custody at the Residential Reentry Management field office in Phoenix. Albert S. Watkins, the attorney who handled the plea and sentencing of Chansley, told the Washington Examiner, “I applaud the decision of the U.S. Bureau of Prison in this regard.” “After serving eleven months...

Jacob Chansley, the January 6th protester cast by the media as a 'violent insurrectionist' and sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison, has been vindicated in the eyes of many, after new footage emerged last week which refutes the entire narrative surrounding the events of that day. After reviewing footage withheld from the public by the January 6th Committee, Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealed that Chansley (given the moniker "QAnon Shaman"), was calmly escorted throughout the Capitol complex by Capitol Police, who even helped him find open doors.“The tapes show the Capitol police never stopped Jacob Chansley," said Carlson....

Stone tools found in a 4,000-year-old grave near Stonehenge have traces of gold on their surfaces that indicate they were used to fashion gold ornaments. In 1801, archaeologists found the assemblage of Bronze Age artifacts, including the stone tools, in a barrow or burial mound from about 1800 B.C. near the village of Upton Lovell, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) west of Stonehenge. The assemblage(opens in new tab) includes flint axes, a necklace of beads of polished stone and dozens of bone points — possibly from another necklace and the fringe of a garment. The collection, which is now on...

Princess Märtha Louise, the daughter of Norway’s King Harald, said Tuesday she no longer will officially represent the Norwegian royal house following “many questions relating to me and my fiancé’s role.” The 51-year-old princess, who is fourth in line to the Norwegian throne, got engaged in June to Durek Verrett, an American who describes himself as a shaman and a healer on his website. At least one foundation for which Märtha Louise served as a patron subsequently ended its connection with the princess. “I have decided that at the present time I will no longer carry out official duties for...

March 8 (UPI) -- A federal judge ruled Monday that the self-described "QAnon Shaman" must remain in jail pending further proceedings regarding charges related to his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Judge Royce Lamberth ruled that Jacob Chansley may still present a threat to members of the general public and that no conditions could be placed on him to ensure he would appear before the court in the future. In his opinion, Lamberth stated that Chansley exhibited "a detachment from reality" and "does not understand the severity of the allegations against him." "At hearing and in...

In the last year Americans — and their president — lost their freedom of speech. In the last year Democrats stole a landslide election from the most popular candidate in modern history. And now, just like that, we’ve reached peak Marxism. If there is one person who became the living emblem of the incursion into the Capitol on January 6, it is the man dubbed the “QAnon Shaman.” Jacob Chansley showed up in several pictures with his face painted red, white, and blue; his body covered with shamanistic tattoos; and his head attired with a fur hat sporting large horns. This horror, the media told America, was the living emblem of the evil, racist Trump supporters who were committing a deadly, armed insurrection against the seat of the American government. Interestingly, the best evidence that, as is often the case, Democrats’...

In the interview, "60 Minutes+" reporter Laurie Segall asked Jacob Chansley if he regretted his loyalty to Trump. "I developed a lot of sympathy for Donald Trump because it seemed like the media was picking on him and seemed like the establishment was going after him unnecessarily or unfairly, and I had...

Federal prosecutors argued this week that Jacob Chansley, also known as the "QAnon Shaman," should not be released from jail before standing trial over his involvement in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Prosecutors told a judge in the case that Chansley is a danger to the community, citing a note he allegedly wrote targeting then-Vice President Mike Pence, his allegedly wielding a weapon while he engaged officers inside the Capitol, and his comments on getting rid of traitors in government, The Associated Press reported. "He cannot be trusted now to suddenly change course," prosecutors wrote in a court...

Researcher Lilia Kobeleva of the Novosibirsk Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography and colleagues unearthed the finds at the Ust-Tartas archaeological site in the Novosibirsk region of Siberia. 'The beaks were assembled at the back of the skull, along the neck, as if it was a collar that protected the owner when he lived here,' Ms Kobeleva told the Siberian Times. Alternatively, the beaks — of which there are estimated to be between around 30 and 50 — may have been part of a ritual costume, or an elaborate headdress or piece of armour. The beaks will take months to painstakingly...

A California herbalist charged in the death of a diabetic 13-year-old he treated with herbs instead of insulin is heading to prison for four months. In 2014, Timothy Morrow, a self-proclaimed “master herbalist” based in Torrance, Calif., attempted to treat Edgar Lopez for his Type-1 diabetes. Morrow told Edgar’s parent that the insulin the doctor has prescribed was poison and to rub lavender oil on Edgar’s spine instead — claiming it would cure him, according to ABC News.
