DANBURY, CT (WFSB) -- The president of a Connecticut university said hate-filled flyers were randomly distributed throughout campus on Thursday night. Western Connecticut State University President John Clark said he is shocked and saddened about the flyers and inscriptions found on university property. The flyers had "It's Okay to be white" written on them, according to WCSU officials. ... “Have no doubt that we are treating this as an attack on our university community and making every effort to see that those responsible are caught and properly punished. I am fully committed to the absolutely necessary goal this does not...

The new “Batwoman” TV series featuring an openly lesbian Batwoman is failing big-time. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that young adults are turned off by the show's extreme woke and SJW (social justice warrior) politically correct messaging. “Woke” means you are aware of social and racial injustice. “Woke” also means straight white men are the source of all evil and must be punished. Women and minorities are perfect in every way. Woke culture says anyone who dares criticize a woman or a minority hates women and minorities. Batman fans are outraged over the “Batwoman” TV series trashing Batman and...

On Tuesday Facebook released the results of a study on bias within and by the platform against conservative perspectives and activity on the platform. It was led by former U.S. Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) and his team at corporate law firm Covington & Burling LLP.The report confirmed what many had already been experiencing firsthand in the years since social media has become central to global communications, business, governance, and interactivity – that many voices on the right felt subject to arbitrary purposefully targeted restrictions on their ability to operate freely within the terms of services of the platform.Senator Kyl and...

President Trump “resisters” are urging people to sabotage his New Hampshire rally this week by reserving free tickets and leaving the seats empty, instead protesting outside the Manchester arena — a strategy political operatives on both sides say won’t hurt Trump, and could backfire. Sergio Siano, who describes himself as a progressive and a democratic socialist on social media, tweeted over the weekend about Trump’s rally this coming Thursday: “Let’s hit him where it hurts: his rally attendance. Book your two free tickets to Trump’s New Hampshire rally, don’t attend, and join us in protesting outside. Let’s make this go...

August 7, 2019 (NewsBusters) — The left has no problem with hiding behind activist teenagers, but will scapegoat a right-wing one if she criticizes them. YouTube, Google's sister company, deplatformed a 14-year-old conservative girl after she made a video criticizing Pride Month. Her channel has been completely banned from YouTube. Soph, known on Twitter as @sewernugget, has been penalized by YouTube previously with suspension for "dangerous" humor and poking fun at leftist orthodoxy. With approximately 1 million subscribers before she was shut down, she rose to fame for poking fun at topics such as radical Islam, climate change, and pedophilia...

Deadlocked on a party-line vote, the Federal Election Commission has dismissed a complaint that Hillary Clinton’s campaign illegally coordinated with a super PAC during the 2016 presidential election cycle. Continuing a recent trend with the embattled regulatory agency that is currently missing two of six commissioners, it was the Republican commissioners, not Democrats, who voted to stonewall enforcement action over the complaint. Just one month before the 2016 presidential election, Campaign Legal Center filed a complaint with the FEC alleging that the Clinton campaign illegally coordinated with Correct the Record, a hybrid PAC run by Media Matters for America founder...

As America prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, The New York Times is busy celebrating the Soviet space program and bashing America’s. A Times op-ed Thursday highlighted how the Soviet Union was oh-so-diverse, sending women and people of color into space long before stuffy, old America got around to doing the same. As the USSR retreats into the rearview mirror of history, there is a growing tendency to romanticize its disastrous reign through the lens of contemporary wokeness. Sure, Communists tortured and executed dissidents, starved their own people by the millions and operated gulags —...

We the media have “fact-checked” President Trump like we have fact-checked no other human being on the planet—and he’s certainly given us plenty to write about. That’s probably why it’s so easy to find lists enumerating and examining his mistakes, missteps and “lies.” But as self-appointed arbiters of truth, we’ve largely excused our own unprecedented string of fact-challenged reporting. The truth is, formerly well-respected, top news organizations are making repeat, unforced errors in numbers that were unheard of just a couple of years ago.Our repeat mistakes involve declaring that Trump’s claims are “lies” when they are matters of opinion,...

How do you know if you're living in a free society? Here's a quick test: Are you allowed to say obviously true things in public? Or are you forced to lie? As George Orwell put it in "1984": "Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows." But what if that freedom isn't granted? What if you're required to repeat things that you know aren't true? What if everyone who hears you knows perfectly well that you're lying, but they can't say so out loud? What if everyone is...

“If you know where we come from, this is huge.” UC Santa Cruz graduate Julisa Lopez, standing before a crowd of more than 150 people Friday morning, said she was thankful for the ceremony that was about to occur. At the end of a two-year effort which Lopez, now studying for a doctorate degree in Seattle, took part in, the university was about to remove a seemingly innocuous campus historical marker in the shape of a bell.

Jackson Cosko, who calls himself a “Democratic Political Professional” with cybersecurity expertise, is accused of multiple crimes for allegedly doxxing Republican Senators during the Brett Kavanaugh/Christine Blasey Ford hearings. Jackson Cosko has now been sentenced to four years in prison for his role in the matter. The United States Capitol Police arrested Cosko, saying he allegedly “posted private, identifying information (doxing) about one or more United States Senators to the internet,” a statement said. On October 9, 2018, a judge said Cosko should continue to be held without bond. According to Legistorm, he worked for U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan...

There's no room for Columbus Day in Columbus, Ohio. Or for George Washington in George Washington High School. There’s plans in the works to cover a mural of George Washington from the halls of George Washington High School in San Francisco due to complaints that it’s offensive and demeaning to Native Americans and African Americans. The San Francisco school board is expected to decide next week whether to cover the image or paint over it, but there’s no plans among top officials to leave the imagery in the open for students to view, according to several Bay Area news reports.

Trump-hating liberal activists know how to cause trouble. With record low unemployment numbers and a thriving economy, we have seen well-organized activists interrupting townhalls, blocking traffic in major cities, and using violence. But there is an awful type of activism happening out there, and it affects us all. Even though this activity is underreported, it affects everyone's 401K retirement savings. Shareholder activists are taking direct aim at companies - such as oil companies and gun manufacturers - by abusing rules that publicly traded companies must follow to promote a far-left agenda. Instead of trying to gun control pass laws through...

Earlier today, Bleeding Cool reported that DC Comics is making the first two issues of the new Lois Lane comic by Greg Rucka and Mike Perkins returnable, so that retailers could order as many copies as they liked, safe in the knowledge that they could return any left unsold. It is possible that this really won’t be an issue as the series may grab as many headlines as Lois Lane usually generated for the Daily Planet. Bleeding Cool has been informed that the new series pits Lois Lane against the White House administration. And while members of that administration are not names, there seem to...

Time Magazine columnist Ian Bremmer apologized Monday for fabricating a quote from President Donald Trump about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un that went viral the day before. “My tweet yesterday about Trump preferring Kim Jong Un to Biden as President was meant in jest,” Bremmer tweeted Monday. “The President correctly quoted me as saying it was a ‘completely ludicrous’ statement. I should have been clearer. My apologies.” Bremmer’s apology comes after he tweeted a quote attributed to the president alleging he said, “Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better President than Sleepy Joe Biden.” Many people...
