President Donald Trump claimed that the investigation into the alleged conspiracy between his 2016 presidential campaign and the Russian government was a “set-up” and that former President Barack Obama “certainly” must have had knowledge about it. In a portion of an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopolous that aired on “ABC This Week” on Sunday, the president discussed former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, saying that he believed the investigation into his 2016 presidential campaign was a “set-up” after the probe found “no collusion.” “There was no crime. There’s no collusion. It was a setup, in my opinion,” said Trump. “And...

President Trump said he did not order the White House counsel to fire special counsel Robert Mueller because that “didn’t work out too well” for former President Nixon during Watergate. “I wasn’t going to fire [Mueller],” Trump told ABC News’ “This Week” in an interview that aired Sunday. “You know why? Because I watched Richard Nixon go around firing everybody, and that didn’t work out too well.” He pointed to Article II of the Constitution, which lays out the powers of the president, claiming it allowed him to fire the special counsel who was investigating Russian interference in the 2016...

Video at Link. President Donald Trump sat down for an exclusive one-on-one with ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos after the president's summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Tuesday in Singapore. Among a host of topics, Trump said he trusts Kim to follow through on his pledge to denuclearize, discusses how long it will take, the "terrible" Iran nuclear deal and explains the now-viral photo of him facing down Angela Merkel at the G-7 summit in Quebec.

ABC News actually responds to Free Beacon inquiry ABC News policy required that George Stephanopolous disclose his contributions to the Clinton Foundation to management before covering stories related to it, according to an ABC spokesman who responded to a Washington Free Beacon inquiry. (snip) “Staff need to disclose personal donations to a charitable organization to us before covering a story related to that organization,” said Julie Townsend, who heads ABC’s news communications. “He had not disclosed the Foundation donations to us before he interviewed Peter Schweizer,” the author of Clinton Cash.

When Barack Obama took office in 2009....ABC-TV "Good Morning America" anchors and guests gushed at the (cough) 'sheer brilliance' of Obama's incoming cabinet, and referenced Obama's "team of economic gladiators"...which included "gladiator" Secy of the Treasuey Tim Geithner (who had a problem filing taxes). Predictably, ABC-TV journalist, George Stephanopoulos, (a onetime Clinton factotum) rhapsodized about the Obama picks: "We have not seen this kind of combination of star power and brain power and political muscle this early in a cabinet in our lifetimes," Steffie gushed. BACKSTORY Seems phone calls were being made between Obama's COS Rahm Emanuel and ABC-TV's George...

It wasn’t exactly a “stop the presses!” moment, but it was still a little surprising. George Stephanopoulos, former White House communications director under President Bill Clinton and ABC News “chief news anchor,” donated one and one half times the average American income to the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. The $75,000 Stephanopoulos ponied up is enough to cover Chelsea’s speaking fee, but who would want that? It’s pocket change for the Bill and Hillary, who wouldn’t entertain the idea of sending a personalized birthday card for that price. But that price was enough to expose Stephanopoulos as what observers...

Don't think this is an award yet, but it should be. Another left wing media figure trying to use their position to sway an election. Past winner was Candy Crowley.

Apparently ABC News standards have dropped since Geraldo Rivera used to work for them. Unlike George Stephanopolous -- who is currently still employed even after his $75,000 donation to the Clinton Foundation -- Rivera was axed when he made a mere $200 political contribution back in 1985. Appearing on Friday’s edition of FNC’s Fox and Friends, Rivera told the cast “I was fired by ABC News in 1985...the official reason given for my being fired in 1985 was a $200 donation I made to a non-partisan mayoral campaign.” Rivera did add that he was in “a very contentious relationship” with...

In case you missed it yesterday, ABC News chief anchor and former Clinton White House communication advisor George Stephanopoulos admitted to donating $75,000 dollars to the Clinton Foundation after being busted by the Washington Free Beacon. Of course, Stephanopoulos didn't disclose the information before interviewing Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer two weeks ago about allegations Hillary Clinton traded political favors for donations to the Clinton Foundation during her time as Secretary of State. During the interview, Stephanopoulos argued there was no "smoking gun" to Schweizer's claims in his book and said ABC News had concluded there was no wrongdoing. Naturally,...

ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos has given $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation in recent years, charitable contributions that he did not publicly disclose while reporting on the Clintons or their non-profit organization, the On Media blog has learned. In both 2013 and 2014, Stephanopoulos made a $25,000 donation to the 501 nonprofit founded by former president Bill Clinton, the Foundation's records show. Stephanopoulos never disclosed this information to viewers, even when interviewing author Peter Schweizer last month about his book "Clinton Cash," which alleges that donations to the Foundation may have influenced some of Hillary Clinton's actions as Secretary...

Barry Obama has slipped on his own faith by saying "John McCain has not... talked about... My muslim faith" Of which Stephanopolous carried the water and corrected him by saying "Christian faith". I think this is a VERY telling freudian slip by Barrack.

Jeremiah Wright on estrogen Posted: April 18, 20081:00 am Eastern © 2008 Last Friday in this column I reported on a brewing scandal that would be front-page news on the New York Times if the developments had concerned anyone other than their hero:Barack Hussein Obama.Instead, the new media was left to pick up and disseminate how one of Barack Obama's presidential campaign bundlers is Jodie Evans – a political ally to Venezuelan dictator, Hugo Chavez, and an advocate for Islamic militants. The story was also a yawner for ABC News "journalist" George Stephanopolous, because he didn't see fit to ask a single...

LONDON, England (AP) -- Despite losses around the world, al Qaeda has more than 18,000 potential terrorists, and its ranks are growing because of the conflict in Iraq, a leading think tank warned Tuesday. Al Qaeda still has a functioning leadership despite the death or capture of key figures, and estimates suggest al Qaeda operates in more than 60 nations around the world, the International Institute of Strategic Studies said in its Strategic Survey 2003-4. The terrorist group poses a growing threat to Western interests and attacks are likely to increase, the institute said. "Al Qaeda must be expected to...

How to become CIA director Posted: September 9, 2003 1:00 a.m. Eastern © 2003 WorldNetDaily.com For years I've been wondering how someone as sensible as James Woolsey ever became Bill Clinton's CIA director. A new book, getting much acclaim on other points, "Why America Slept," by Gerald Posner, finally answers the question. Indeed, from Posner's account, it seems like it was a mistake. The story is fascinating for what it says about the Clinton administration's priorities and policies. Woolsey was a conservative Democrat, former Rhodes scholar and attorney who served as undersecretary of the Navy in the Carter administration. He...

George Stephanopoulos' big tryout was this past Sunday.

And by all accounts, it went just fine.

Of course, the people doing the accounting had a vested interest in it going well, since they acknowledge ABC's troubled This Week needs fixing.
