North DFAC Bagram Airfield-BAF Bagram, Afghanistan 9:08 P.M. AFST THE PRESIDENT: We’re going to be getting together. We’ll be saying a few words in a little while. But it’s an honor to be with you. We brought Senator Barrasso. As you know, he’s a great supporter of our military services. And nobody is like you. We spent two and a half trillion since I’ve been here. That’s a lot of money. But we rebuilt our military. It was depleted, as you know, and now it’s — I guess, the word “depletion” is about the last word we’d use, right? PARTICIPANT:...

For the U.S. troops abroad, President Trump made a major personal sacrifice by skipping his own Thanksgiving in order to surprise them by helping to serve them theirs. Under cover of secrecy, he flew nearly 7,000 miles, met with them, praised and cheered them, took selfies with them, served them in the chow line, and generally gave the brave fighting men and women in the world's most forlorn hellhole something to smile about. It was a lovely presidential gesture, well in keeping with past presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, who also made holiday trips to cheer the troops....

Much to the dismay of media-democrats PDJT visited the troops in Afghanistan yesterday. To say his visit was well received by the men and women serving there is an understatement. He may never be as eloquent - some men inspire with action – but mark my words: history will someday determine that Donald J. Trump is our Winston Churchill. Two bold, fearless and completely correct men; both despised by the elite who surrounded them.In President Trump’s plus column: he doesn’t smoke cigars or drink an Imperial Quart of whiskey a day. On a related note: Do you think it’s a coincidence that Thor,...

It's not unusual for the French to comment on anything American and normally in the negative. What is rare is a Frenchman saying something positive about Americans; in this case heaping praise on our soldiers in Afghanistan.

We pray for the full recovery of both men, who endured significant hardship during their captivity, and wish them well as they reunite with their loved ones in the near future. We thank the Afghan government for its actions, in the spirit...

Afghanistan: Sharia-adherent Muslims murder three secular judges after Taliban stop their car NOV 16, 2019 8:00 AM BY ROBERT SPENCER These were members of the Afghan judiciary, which the Taliban consider illegitimate and not fully Sharia-adherent. This happened, moreover, while American troops are there. It will keep on happening after American troops are gone. Our expenditure of blood and treasure in Afghanistan is useless, and should have ended a very long time ago. “Judges killed in attack in Afghanistan,” Reuters, November 8, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace): Three judges and a court staffer have been killed in Afghanistan...

Army soldier Bowe Bergdahl contends President Donald Trump and U.S. Sen. John McCain made comments that interfered with his right to a fair trial at Fort Bragg. Afghanistan: Muslims bomb rival mosque, murdering 62 at Friday prayers OCT 18, 2019 12:30 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER This story highlights the fact that Muslims themselves have an interest in curbing jihad violence, rather than stigmatizing and demonizing those who call attention to it. Yet there is no large-scale Muslim movement to stop jihad activity, and self-proclaimed Islamic reformers are often insincere opportunists, profiteering off nervous conservatives anxious to prove they’re not “anti-Muslim.” “Blasts collapse roof at Afghan mosque, killing at least 62 at Friday prayers,” by Abdul Qadir Sediqi and Ahmad Sultan, Reuters, October 18, 2019: KABUL (Reuters) –...

For the men of ODA 1333 and their detachment of around 100 U.S. soldiers and Afghan commandos, the orders sounded straightforward: help secure two Afghan helicopters downed by the Taliban near Ghazni. They knew they would have to take the long way around, because the Taliban had buried so many land mines along the direct road leading into Ghazni that it was impassable. What was usually a 60-mile trip westward from Paktia province would instead cover 160 miles of terrain. The troops loaded up their weapons and clambered aboard hulking RG-33 and M-ATV armored vehicles, which rumbled into the night...
