<p>Well this is certainly dumb. The International Olympic Committee wants two members of the USA Women’s Ice Hockey Team to remove images of the Statue of Liberty from their goalie masks. Why? Apparently it’s a little too political for the IOC, which is the one of the most political (and corrupt) organizations around. This is kind of like Planned Parenthood being upset that someone has an extremist position or the Democratic Party complaining that a group is too full of shit. Oh wait, both of those things happen all the time.</p>

It’s time for another Olympics, which means it’s once again time for the world’s finest athletes to parade about in a bunch of flag-themed outerwear. My boss thought it would be a good idea to give an overview of what these proud Olympians will be wearing in PyeongChang, even though I shop at places that have “Outlet” and “Maxx” in their names and have worn a tie to work approximately once in my 20 years at The Washington Post. Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn sparked a backlash when she said she will represent the United States at the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, in February, but not the president. Vonn also said she would "absolutely not" accept an invitation to the White House if she were to win a gold medal. Dr. Larry Nassar just pled guilty to multiple counts of sexually assaulting multiple girls while working as a doctor for Team USA gymnastics and Michigan State University. Nassar appeared in a Michigan courtroom early Wednesday morning dressed in his jailhouse orange jumpsuit where he entered the plea. He now faces 25 to 40 years in prison.
