The recent mayhem on London Bridge should remind everyone of the eternal evil of Islamic terrorism. On November 29, Usman Khan, a supposedly former terrorist, wounded three people and fatally stabbed Saskia Jones and Jack Merritt, two young Britons who — in an excruciating irony — participated in that day’s meeting (near the bridge) of Learning Together, an organization that claims to rehabilitate terrorists. Khan, 28, was considered one of its model students. As Giulio Meotti recalled in a chilling essay for the Gatestone Institute, Khan wrote glowingly about his experiences with this outfit. “Learning Together is about opening minds,...

Investigators have been trying to determine what motivated a gunman who opened fire in a classroom building on Friday at the Naval Air Station Pensacola. He used a handgun and was killed after two deputies exchanged gunfire with him. The shooter was identified by the FBI as Mohammed Alshamrani -- a 21-year-old second lieutenant in the Saudi Arabian air force. He was a student naval flight officer, according to an FBI spokesperson. The shooter does not appear to have ties to terrorist groups, two sources told CNN. Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan told CNN's Erin Burnett that the FBI had...

Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik used semi-automatic rifles to gun down more than a dozen people at a Christmas party for San Bernardino County employees on Dec. 2, 2015, prosecutors say. Police later confronted and killed the two attackers. Enrique Marquez - a former neighbor and friend of Farook - allegedly bought the two rifles for Farook in 2011 and 2012, and the two planned to launch bomb and shooting attacks at Riverside City College, where they attended classes, and a notoriously gridlocked section of highway without exits. The two never carried out those plans.

LONDON — A police officer shot and killed a man wearing a fake bomb on London Bridge on Friday, after several people were stabbed in what the police called a terrorist incident, which paralyzed one of the busiest arteries through the city. The chaotic clash, in a country where shootings are rare, involved several officers and civilians, and sent scores of people fleeing from the bridge and areas near it on both sides of the River Thames. It also revived memories of recent terrorist attacks in London, including one on the same bridge in 2017 that killed eight people. “It...

Hasan has remained on death row for seven years and counting. Manning said he hopes "justice gets served" but realizes Hasan may never be executed. ... When it came to Hasan, Manning said, there was a double standard. Hasan wrote emails to radical American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki seeking advice on reconciling his Muslim faith with serving in the Army. This fact was known to the FBI. “You could lose your security clearance in the Army for having bad credit and be kicked out of the Army. But you can't lose your security clearance for talking to a member of Al...

Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri called Wednesday on Muslims to attack U.S., European, Israeli and Russian targets in a speech on the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks online activity of jihadist groups, reported that in a video released by the militant group, the 68-year-old al-Zawahiri also criticizes "backtrackers" from jihad, referring to former jihadis who changed their views in prison and called the 9/11 attacks unacceptable because innocent civilians were harmed. "If you want Jihad to be focused solely on military targets, the American military has presence all over the world, from the...

The Israeli military Saturday said it foiled a "pending large-scale attack" by Iranian forces and Shiite militia on targets in Israel with a series of airstrikes near Damascus. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed responsibility for the airstrikes, saying it thwarted Iranian drone attacks on Israel, according to a statement. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in acknowledging Israel's responsibility for the attacks, said on Twitter, "I repeat: Iran has no immunity anywhere. Our forces operate in every direction against Iranian aggression." "He who rises to kill you, kill him first," Netanyahu said in his tweet, quoting Hebrew scripture.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — One person was killed and seven others were wounded on Sunday in an attack by Iranian-allied Yemeni rebels on a Saudi airport, Saudi Arabia said. The strike came as the American secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, traveled to the country for talks on Iran. Regional tensions have flared in recent days. The United States abruptly called off a military strike against Iran last week in response to the shooting down of an unmanned American surveillance drone. The Trump administration has vowed to combine a “maximum pressure” campaign of economic sanctions with a buildup of American...

Media under-reports plot to imitate Nice truck rampage in America. In a vastly under-reported story by the mainstream media, the capital of the United States barely missed being the target of a Nice-like terrorism attack that killed 86 people and plunged France into grief and shock. In that French city, in July, 2014, a Muslim terrorist drove a large truck down a popular promenade, deliberately smashing into as many innocent people out for a walk as possible, killing 86. Jihadists have a bitter history of using vehicles to kill infidels in the West. Besides Nice, the Berlin Christmas market truck...

For years Border Patrol agents have expressed concern about America's immigration policies, saying that the United States' southern border was vulnerable. They have expressed concerns about a potential terrorist using the United States-Mexico border as a means of gaining access to America to carry out a terrorist attack. And, not surprisingly, their fears have become a reality. Border Patrol agents are extremely overwhelmed along our southern border. They are spending the majority of their time processing people instead of actually protecting our border. Up until now, we haven't really seen terrorists utilize our southern border to carry out an attack....

The Sri Lankan police have arrested 24 people in connection with a series of devastating suicide bombings at hotels and churches on Easter Sunday that left nearly 300 people dead and more than 500 injured. • No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but a police officer alerted security officials in an advisory 10 days ago about a threat to churches from a radical Islamist group, National Thowheeth Jama’ath. The authorities, however, failed to act on the information, government officials said. • A nationwide curfew was lifted on Monday morning, but major social media and messaging services, including Facebook...

Democrats, Twitter and the national news media offered plenty of outrage Thursday over Rep. Ilhan Omar’s description of 9/11 as a day when “some people did something.” But they directed it entirely at The Post’s front page for exposing and highlighting Omar’s cavalier words. About the remark itself: total silence, with a few terse “no comments” from Democrats. Omar, echoed by her allies, played the victim, accusing us of “incitement.” Others claimed we took her remark “out of context.” Here’s the relevant passage of her 20-minute speech to the Council of American-Islamic Relations: “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they...
