One of the suspects in a Canadian bomb plot is a former drug user with a history of violence, a self-styled "Muslim Punk" who also wrote songs about his love for Satan. Descriptions of John Nuttall by four people who knew him, combined with court records and his own postings online, portray a sometimes troubled man on the margins of society. The United Kingdom is unfortunately a nation that is in the process of slowly committing cultural suicide. It pains us to say it because the UK is in many ways the cradle of modern Western civilization and there has been no more steadfast US ally for very nearly 100 years. But the British made a bargain with the devil when they decided to allow massive Muslim immigration a generation ago. As a result, there are now Shariah zones in areas of Britain and there are neighborhoods in London where British servicemen have been told not to wear their uniforms because...

A Middle Eastern man tried to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in Lower Manhattan this morning, law-enforcement sources told the Post. The four were arrested in Sweden's second largest city Goteborg early Sunday, according to Security police spokesman Stefan Johansson. No further comments were given.

The men were arrested last night in Midtown Manhattan as part of a police operation that had begun prior to Osama bin Laden's death and was not a result of any retaliatory plan, sources said. While the suspects talked about attacking synagogues in Manhattan no specific synagogue had been targeted. (snip) The...

Earlier today, I served as a panelist at an FDD event on the current warnings about an al Qaeda plot in Europe. The panel, moderated by Clifford D. May, also featured Frank Cilluffo of George Washington University's Homeland Security Policy Institute and Tom Joscelyn of both FDD and LWJ. This entry is excerpted from my remarks. At the outset, it is important to note that a large number of reports inevitably surface after a major terror attack, arrest, or (in this case) unraveling plot that end up being inaccurate. That is the nature of how intelligence develops in any case,...

ISLAMABAD — Eight Germans and two British brothers are at the heart of an al-Qaida-linked terror plot against European cities, but the plan is still in its early stages, with the suspects calling acquaintances in Europe to plan logistics, a Pakistani intelligence official said Thursday. American security forces were last night searching for a two-man al-Qaeda team about to attack. Airports are on high alert as experts think the terrorists from the Yemen are on their way - but they could already be in the country. Security analysis seen by the Mirror says the Christmas bomb plot by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, was a test run. They think it was to see if his underpants explosives plan would work. The document says: "Two people suspected of plotting further attacks are being pursued."
